Do you think the criticism against Mr. Suresh Kalmadi was timely? Don't you think this would rather distract Mr. Kalmadi and his team which can rather hamper the speedy preparation work for the Games in October? After all Mr. Kalmadi's shame is also India's shame! What's your say on this one? I want to hear.

I would say the media has woken up to the scandal involving Queen's baton rather too late. The baton left Buckingham Palace in England on 29 October 2009, after which it visited all the other 70 Commonwealth nations over 240 days, before entering India. That is precisely the time when Kalmadi and the coterie with him had sown the seeds of corruption. Kalmadi together with his close associate Darbari had pulled the wool over people's eye to amass for him and others a huge wealth out of money that was set aside for this purpose. Why did none anticipate that corruption is bound to take place when such a huge amount of money is involved? Why there was no internal vigilance to exercise checks that no corruption takes place? Why Mr. Kalmadi did not go through the niceties of the procedure of allotting the tenders to know where the money was going? The one who was drawing the proposal; those who were sitting in the tender committee; and those who were sanctioning the amount they all are responsible for this fiasco. Let us remember the corruption always trickles from top. Mr. Kalmadi is at the helm of affairs. He cannot absolve himself of the responsibility. Kalmadi is not indispensable. If he cannot deliver the goods then others would. He should be immediately removed from office. If we do not check things in the right earnest India would be put to greater shame. India is getting a bad name due to people like Kalmadi and the coterie who are with him in this sordid affair.

it was not timely it was there from the start of the Common wealth games and he always tried to deny them through unusual means you can hear those news in t.v. from the mid of June where there was case of delayed construction, and and his removal from the post in may. so it was not timely he is not able to lead his team as a leader rather he left his team to do whatever they want to eat and spill the leftovers.
