What do you usually do when you were awoke at night because of a bad dream? Me? I'd try to relax, read something, drink milk, say a short prayer and try to go back to sleep.

I pray and clam down and try to sleep again. If I have another bad dream, I pray again and maybe try and text my boyfriend. And if all else fails, I just don't sleep the rest of that night.

Yeah, I think it helps to have someone to talk it out if it affects us in a way. Thanks for responding

I usually feel overwhelming relief that it was just a dream and I lay there until I fall back asleep.

There is nothing worse than having bad dreams, thankfully it does not happen very often. When it does and it's so bad to waken me from my sleep then I will usually get up and have a glass of water, stare out the window for a few minutes and basically try to relax. Then it's back to bed to chill out and ry and get back to sleep.

Hi, elvira1. I will just sit up and keep the light on for a while. I will try to relax for just a little bit. If I had an radio, I would turn it on so that I could let my mind wander off of my bad dream. Once I feel comfortable, I will try going back to sleep. I may stay up for about 20 minutes, until I am more relaxed.

Bad dreams that wake me up in the middle of the night are the worse. I wake up and my blood is pumping, the adrenaline in my body makes me wide awake. It takes me a minute to try and remember that it was a dream and bring myself back to reality. My cat usually sleeps with me at night and I sit up and pet her a little bit because she always calms me down. Before I had my cat it would take me a few minutes to calm down. Sometimes I would turn the TV back on before I laid down for ambient noise. That always helped.

Hmm, i usually wake up scared, and if my boyfriend is with me, i look at him while he is sleeping, and i kiss him, and thinking how lucky i am, or maybe if he is awake, i`d ask him to hug me tight, and i would talk with him about the dream. If i am alone, i would turn on my tv, to search a movie, to distract me from that bad dream, and after a time, go to sleep again.

Waking up in the middle of the night, or whatever time of the day, because of a bad dream or a nightmare often does not give a good feeling. What I do whenever this happens is take deep breaths, try to relax, clear my mind off the bad dream, and pray. I know that after a few minutes, I will be in the condition to bring myself back to sleep.

according to the study of regimen, the dream expecially the bad one is related to some diseases. but don't worry, just turn to your doctor. if just awake in the mid night, do think nothing, latter you will sleep again like a baby.

See bad dreams because you have too many worries in life. Then I've also try relaxation, reduce stress and find out myself, see if you are away from swamps where, and try to address them girls fast as possible.
