I mainly lie if that lie will make that person happy. I don't lie much often cause, if they catch you lying I doubt they are going to trust you as much as they trusted you before. I sometimes lie to my parents, but they'r harmless lies, so nobodies hurt.

well, most likely i lie to the patients who malingers. we initiate this placebo effect and for me it's kind of lying. we have to esp if we notice them trying to fool us just to get more medicines. =)
