Schedule Surgery Without Enough Money

I had a talk with one of my good friends here in the office. Actually, she's our chief, the head of this office. She said, it can be possible to schedule the surgery without having raised the money yet, even half of the estimated cost. She added that the hospital would be able to accommodate us with a very minimal deposit. Hospitals here usually do not accept patients without deposit, even when there is a law that prohibits them to deny confinement without deposit. I am just afraid, we could not pay the bills without enough money. Please help me decide, dear mylot friends.

I feel your problem. I am afraid too that you cannot pay the bills and the surgery is already done. You are thinking what if you have no money to pay it, i believe you already borrowed money from someone and you are now paying little by little. That is what I am facing now. As much as possible I do not want to enter a new thing when there is an old thing not resolved, however if that surgery can save the life of my loved one I will take a risk. What i value is the condition of my loved one, while I am seeking for money. As of now, since I need a money every month for my father's diabetes I work hard with one review site because I earn there fast. So far I have earned a one month price supply of my father's medicine. I working hard to earn money and that money will be using for some emergency.

hi neildc oh my dear friend, I really think you should go ahead as'I think that God is going to somehow make this all possible anyway and your son deserves to be able to sleep well and safely again. I think that you should pray and that I believe God is working through your good friend in your office.Perhaps some of your workmates might even chip in some money for that dear little son of yours. do let us all' know what happens and I will keep praying that it all works out right for your family and you son too. God bless.

we'll be looking for more who can help us. if we can't get more help from the government, we will also try approaching people from churches and non-government organizations.

i really wanted to end the child's sufferings but hospitals do not accept patients without deposits especially in cases like surgery which costs more money.

I am sure there must be some sort of a payment plan the hospital will have set up for you. You can pay on it every month in however much you've agreed upon. Good Luck.

Here in the USA, atleast as far as minor visits go, you can pay on a bill without having to put up collateral. I suppose here it might be the same as there where you are, when it comes to bigger operations. I accured a $1000 and we are just about to have it paid off.

they will agree to that if you have something to offer them as collateral say a land title or a car registration. but we have no such things like that to offer them so it's hard for us to negotiate.

hi jo. i am really not sure of myself on how i could pay the bills, without asking help from others. if i have to lend money again, it will only make more problems, added to the present and big amount of money that i still have to return back to where i borrowed them.

Pay a deposit and pay what ever other amounts you can. Zayzay will have his operation and you can pay off the debt as soon as you are able...what are they going to do...reverse the operation??? I don't think so.

if only we have enough amount to deposit, the operation could have been done already. but like i have said, we still don't have enough, even half of the total estimated cost to pay the hospital.

Are you kidding me? Why are you even asking? Of course, take it and run! It's your child for Heaven's sake! Help him! You can make payments and you'll have your son and he'll get some restful sleep. Get it done! Save your son!

Neil, do it! Please have that surgery done as soon as possible. Right now, you have two major worries: money and Zayzay's health. Get the surgery over with and you'll cut your worries in half. You'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel when that beautiful little boy is sleeping better. You'll be able to think clearer with less stress. I believe that if you think positively, positive things happen. You will get that money to pay the balance of what is owed after the surgery. I have no doubt of it! Please, schedule that surgery as soon as you can.

hi marti. sorry about this, i really don't feel good about what is happening right now. i know that when we had the money, we had used it well and good. but we never thought we came to the wrong doctor. we are thinking, if that doctor had just pointed us to the right doctor, maybe, we could only be thinking of the little money to add for the big money last December (remember, the good news?). we could only be thinking of less. and Zayzay could be sleeping well these days. we could not be talking about this like this. i really feel bad about what happened. now this happened. and we are having more problems now. i really wished to have the surgery immediately. but we really have to have enough for the deposit. i actually have talked with bebie earlier. she is also not convinced of this suggestion. i told him, we go see the doctor this weekend to talk about the matter, the hospital and the bills. if we could only have a little money to deposit. but she said no. she wanted to wait another more days or even a week. people have pledged for their support which we are only waiting for to come. if we already gathered about half of the total estimated cost, we will go ahead immediately with the schedule. love and hugs. miss you Auntie...

i have just called up the hospital to know how much we should need before we will be confined or have the surgery scheduled. the lady on the other line was so kind to explain everything to me. and so i learned that we need at least $800 for deposit. they won't accept the patient as this is not an emergency case. it's really sad that as of now, we only have about $400 in the bank. sorry about this, Auntie. but i am still working harder to find additional help and hopefully, we can get to the operation proper in 2 weeks.

Go and have it scheduled. Never mind about the money, you can always present your bills to the PCSO and they will surely help you. God has a way for everyone so you need not waste time thinking about the bill. Go and do what is needful.

Don’t hesitate, book the surgery and worry about the rest of the payment after your son has received the help he desperately needs! If you pay a deposit I am sure that they will allow you to pay off the rest. My advice to you is do it; your little boy needs the help now. I will send more prayers your way. You just worry about your boy!

hi mob. he's not yet operated or even scheduled. with this post, i wished to set the schedule the surgery but so far, even the amount to be deposited in the hospital, we have not achieved. my boss have said, that if the patient is already in the hospital, we could make it easier to ask for assistance. but yes, i cannot make him accepted in the hospital for confinement and surgery because we still have to beg money more.

Hello neildc, I am not sure which country you are from. If from America that may sound right but I would call the Hospital that is doing the surgery and see what they say. They may do this only if you have medical coverage... I am not sure about other countries policies on this. I sure you get the surgery with minum payment and then pay later when it is all done. You may have to sign a contract if you do have a nay medical coverage. Can you take out a loan from a bank or credit union to help pay for the surgery and probably at better interest rate than the hopsital plan. I hope these ideas help. Thanks and have a great day! Sincerely unique16

the hospital where our son is suppose to undergo surgery told me by one personnel, that a deposit of about $800 is needed before the patient is accepted and scheduled.
@deve_annrn (1856)

5 Aug 10
yes i believe that would be possible too as long as you have the mostly half of how much it would cost you to undergo the said surgery..Most of the hospitals i know would ask for a certain deposit..usually lesser than half of the actual cost of the surgery...just to have you booked for the Operating room and the rest of the bill will follow after surgery or once you're discharge...you can approach the billing department to make necessary arrangements with regards to insurance and stuff..=)

While you can believe in God and go ahead, I do think its better to have some finances handy before going for any surgery. Hospitals here too demand some amount of deposit before they admit any patient for surgery (if its not an emergency situation), so it’s the same everywhere. Your chief is encouraging you and giving you moral support, even then, I do think you can discuss with her about some plans to raise the money you need.

that is really the thing i am hesitant to go to the doctor and have the surgery scheduled, we don't have enough money even for the deposit. and you are right, patients in emergency situations are accepted without hesitations, but our case is not an emergency.

Don't think twice about it. Leave your hesitations behind best. If it's for your son's health why not go for it. Talk to the hospital administrator and ask if it's possible to push through the operation and if you could sign a petition or promisory note that you will pay the bills in due time. I think you could arrange that with the hospital. God bless best and Good luck!!!! HUGZ for you and zayzay.

thank you best. but so far, it's hard to decided because the doctors and the hospital where the surgery will be done are high charging, i mean, they are expensive doctors and hospitals, they are private and not government or public doctors and hospital. if only they are public, we can even have the surgery free of charge. but we are not thinking about going to them, and restarting over again.

if you can still get it done without all the money, i say go for it. and you can also get it done with some money down why not? my friend follow your heart, and worry about the rest later. you need to do what need to do for your son. also see if the hispital have some kind of thing that might help to pay for part of it. good luck to your son and the rest of the family

most hospitals, especially the private ones do not accept patients without deposits, most especially in cases like this, surgery, which is not emergency cases. i really wanted to end his sufferings.

this is serious. is it something you need to do immediately? or do you have to take a bit time to think about it? What are the assurance by this chief of yours that zayzay will get an operation with out paying a deposit. just in my opinion only, i feel there's something fishy going on. But knowing you are in desperate situation, remember that there could be possible consequences if you allow such. it's risky that's why i can't help you make that decision, to go for it. but it's you're decision..not mine. am only concerned, have this hospital or it's doctors been interviewed regarding their expertise for doing surgery to your son? just curious. in the end. prayers i believe is the best thing that can help you make the right decision.. and not us here. because were not in your shoes, and if i try to feel it am sure it's gonna be REAL HEAVY.

we really don't want to wait a little longer. we are talking about the health of the child. if only we have enough money, why would we wait? the hospital personnel said we have to deposit at least 34K to 36K pesos. we have no such amount as of this moment.

I would say, go ahead, sweetie. Pay the deposit and let this be done. You can always pay the rest of the money off, monthly. They have to accommodate you on that. Just do it and then it is done. That would make your life a bit easier. Luck. TATA.
