Do you keep notes of your daily activities?

I think it's wise to keep notes not just for your daily activities but also for all the transactions you made in a day. So, if needed you can back track easily. Most of the times, we forgot a specific day when we needed it and doing this we can check easily. We can note when we paid our bills, spent how much in our bills, next payment due, how much we got paid, etc. Do you keep notes?

I do just to be safe really. It's important for me to always know the flow of my money and to always be reminded of the different things I need to do and so that I could get around to them easily. I have a organizer/planner which is such a lifesaver, birthdays, phone numbers, purchase slips are all kept in it.

Oh yes I keep track of these things. I have an excel spreadsheet that I put everything in. I keep track of the bills we pay, groceries, gas, eating out, entertainment and everything. This helps me to keep track of our monthly spending and helps us to be more in control of our budget. I also do this with my business as well. That especially makes it easy at tax time to get the best return possible for the year. I would try creating a spreadsheet if I were you. It is easy and it will really open your eyes to how much you spend on a daily basis. Also, to be more thorough with the bill paying aspect I always pay by my debit card or by check and I keep track of my transaction numbers/check numbers.

yes! i list all and every details of activities each day. Every end of the year, planner/diary is one of the important things listed on my "to-buy" list. i take note of every bucks came out of wallet, the things that i bought, a surprise call or visit from an old friend, any productive work i've done in the office...even when my period comes and when my husband and i had a "very special activity", it's also recorded on my planner/diary. i do these simply because it helps me to recall my recent activities easily and i can handle my finances well because i keep track all my expenses. This is also one way of remembering those happy moments you had...try to read your previous planners and i tell you, it would definitely brighten your day and will give you a big smile.

I do keep notes for the next day's To-do's. That's why I find my memo notebook very handy. I know some high-tech gadgets are already made for that purpose but since I could not afford those yet, so I stick to old-school jot-down strategy. It does help with recalling a lot of things you have done lately. :)

Hi! Cellphones have a to do list, but I still prefer writing them. It's really cool keeping a notebook and having all your info handy when you need 'em. Have a good day!

Hi, So far, I only keep note on the things that I have paid for. Whenever I go for grocery shopping, I will keep the receipt and I will write down the amount I spent on that day into my books, then every month I will total up to see how much I have spent for the whole month. From there, I can know my spending power and also help to control my spending limit.

Oh, yes! I'm a self-confessed OC who oftentimes tends to be control-freak. I keep lists of things to do, things accomplished, expenses, people to meet... almost everything. Some people say it's a waste of time, but I don't think so. Being organized keeps me always on track. My organizer is one of my most valued possessions.

That's very savvy. I think organizers are a great help.

I don't, although I do generally take photos which is a very good way in recording activities. I would get very bored of writing notes everytime I did something, I write things when I'm at work and I really could do it all the time outside of it too. It would be very frustrating for me. :)

I used to keep journals of my everyday activities. But ever since I started working. It's hard to maintain a journal especially if you're too tired from work already.

I keep all kind of notes including daily activities. I got help from such a note on changing the internet provider who asked me for the payment of an incorrect bill. It's a long story! I find this kind of notes very useful, with dates, amounts, payments etc. I keep the paid bills for the whole year, just in case.

Hi Santosmarichris!. Honestly I never write my daily activities I just do what I have to do. The rest I let life give a surprise. I find out I don't have to perfect all the time I just need to make priority on the thing what I has to do and others can be doe while I have fun and enjoying my time.

I usually stick to routine but I do admit to keeping to-do lists and write daily activities in my calendar. Doesn't hurt to be reminded as I could be quite forgetful sometimes especially if I'm swamped with work.

At the moment I do not, but that is a great idea actually! I will consider starting to do this, so thanks for the suggestion!

I actually make a to-do list every start of the day to guide me of my activities and write in the extra things that i do...I check those things that I accomplished and re-check those that I have not. This to-do list can also be back tracked for history purposes too.

Hi! Yes, that was the problem I had. I couldn't remember important dates I did in the past. So, now I'm keeping track of all important details.

I tried it but found it too structured. And I often forget therefore become inconsistent with jotting down of daily activities. So I gave up. I only jot down what is important or what needs my immediate attention. Wish I could be as diligent as you.

It is always good to keep a paper trail.. I am little weird about that. I saved receipts for everything I ever brought also have a box of wrappers from things that i liked and hope to buy again,,, the only receipts I do not have is the ones that got damaged, or were in with items from someone else and I shopping together.. I do not shop a lot.. so I do not have any new receipts.. But yes, keep a list of all your brought, all your bills you pay. Always get a copy of any bills or fines you paid in case paper work mixes something up on their end of things to often I have witnessed people pay bills then the company accuses them of never paying.. and we have to pay them again... because there was no proof of payment paper.. I think proof of payment papers should always be mandatory.. for this reason as people do make mistakes, they mistypes or data gets scrambled in computers.. or does not always save right.. Yes, I always keep financial notes and I encourage everyone to always keep a few folders even long after the payment has been completed.. in my case I had people trying to charge me 5 years later for something that was paid on the spot then..

My sister writes down everything she spends every day, even the little things. I am very careful with money but I don’t bother to note every cent I spend. In regards to my daily activities; I have a diary because my memory has let me down in the past so I can back track to find out what I did on any given day. Great if I am ever in need of an alibi!

Sometimes I do take note of my activities but I don't do it all the time. I agree that it's a good habit and makes it easier to backtrack on things and such. I have a planner that has ample space for me to take down notes, I also have an extra notebook now in my bag :)

I don't keep notes on everything that goes on in my life. However, there are some things that I think it is necessary to keep notes on. One of the things that I think it is the most important to keep notes on is the way that I pay our bills. About four years ago I had an incident where I could have sworn I had scheduled a payment for one of our credit cards. Well, up until that point, I didn't write down all of the confirmation numbers down at that point in time. Since that happened, at the beginning of the month I write down all of our bills and fill in the date, amount and confirmation number as I schedule each payment.

No I don't I'm lazy for that but for my appointments, well I keep notes for it. I keep the receipts for the bills. I have a basket of receipts and maybe next year I'm going to burn them.

No, I haven't practice myself doing that but i guess its a good thing to do that a habit. I'm not that good in organizing my daily activities and thats the reason why at times i end up compromising some commitments, perhaps i should start doing that, it helps a lot.
