oh sorry guys this is just for my fellow filipinos
ever had to fall in line to get your nbi clearance renewed?
well if you have an nbi renewal card you'd say goodbye to those long lines and hours of waiting
it's only for 120 pesos anyway
i went to have my clearance renewed for the sake of renewing it and possibly getting the card
i was at quezon city hall and i went through all the lines
first was the payment and then second was getting my picture taken
i skipped the verification thingie cause it was a renewal but i'd bet that would've cost me a couple more hours if i did
and so i went to step 4 for data encoding and luckily my name did not have any hit
thank god i have a unique last name and first name as well as middle name
time it took to complete my renewal was 4 hours
the sad thing was quezon city satellite office did not have any cards so i went all the way to monumento to get my card... it took me an hour to travel all the way there (traffic)
and another hour and a half to get my card
now i have a card and i can renew anytime i want without going through the hassle of lining up
advantages of having a card:
less time to process a renewal
it serves as another identification card for you
too bad not all banks honor it
butmost establishments do

i had that card for 3 or 4 years already, and it will save me the hassle for my name was very simple that i am sure there are thousand of filipino men who has the same name as i am and there are 7 guys in our family who had the same name as i am. my grandfather is the senior my father is the junior. i am the third and siblings are the fourth and so on. so sometimes it takes me 2 days to clear my name. happy now that next time it will be much easier for me.

congratulations :D
i've always wondered why fathers named their sons after them
was it because there was a shortage in the name bank?

har har har
, i named my son after me. so he is the se7enth. my reason was for me seven is a good number and we call him seven as his nickname. i dont know why my father named us his three sons from his name. funny when he moved out from us and married and had a son again he named him VI. maybe he likes people to know that we are his son. i really dont know what his reasons are.

yep. the renewal card is very handy. especially if you're trying to get a clearance from Megamall. the renewal stand is in the groud floor but the line goes up to the fifth and sometimes it circles going back down to the ground floor again.
one time i was in line for more than 3 hours. i started from the 5th floor. when i was finally at the ground fl. we were told that the system broke down and they wont be able to issue clearances anymore... grrrr.
now i have the renewal card but funny thing about having that is, since you dont have to wait on the queue, peolpe look at you as if they want to eat you.

oh yeah i work near tektite so my first choice to renew my form was in megamall
it was the first time i ever saw a line that went all the way up to the 5th floor and back down again
and because i was really curious i took each flight of stairs to check just how long it went
as soon as i reached the first floor again i told myself no way was i gonna get in line here
and that's why i headed for qc hall which was the second nearest
i got my form renewed there but had to go all the way to monumento to apply for the renewal card

I don't have NBI clearance yet but I'm planning to get one. I always see a a lot of people renewing NBI clearance in their office, that's why I always change my mind and told myself " better get one on other days". I'm too lazy to fall in line knowing that it will really took a lot of my time. Is there other offices where I could get NBI clearance without falling in line?

my friend i suggest you apply for an nbi clearance at monumento
victory mall
it's airconditioned so you won't really feel tired like in quezon city hall
just follow the steps and right after your clearance is released, fall in line for the clearance card that way you won't have to experience the long lines ever again
first is the payment
2nd image
3. some verification thingie
4th they'll encode your data into a form
5 release of the form
6th thumbmark
and then the clearance card is optional but definitely well worth it
you'll be spending around 300 pesos all in all
don't fall for the fixers
you're just giving them money to do something you could easily do yourself
