I am 33 and this is my second real semester of college. It is very hard to compete and keep up. I feel overwhelmed all the time. I didn't go when I younger because I didn't think I had the aptitude. Now I know I can but Iwish I had of done it earlier. I am a chemical tech major and it's real difficult remembering things like the periodic table and certain equations. Not to mention my other core classes like math and english. I feel bad also because I miss a lot of time with my kids. I have a 9 year old and a 10 month old. I also have a part-time job, gotta pay the bills. I'm not complaining, and happy to have come back but it's just a tuff haul.

Yeah i am 23 and trying to get into business at a local community college.I am looking froward to it and hope to land a good paying job after completing the course.Lots of people nowadays are waiting 4-5 years before going to college which is a good idea as you have time to save money up to pay for the hefty tuition, books rent and food and many other expenses.To many people are being almost forced by their parents to go to college months after they graduate and be stuck with large student loan debts that accrue interest.Im glad i waited so i wont have to pay all that interest when i don't have to;

Kinda happened to me. I went to a vocational school thinking it would be better to have a career. Then got in the field and bombed and wanted to get a degree. Actually wanted to go with my BFf at the time so I would'nt be alone. Got denied student aid because of the late deferment papers and could not afford to go. Then after somany years of endless jobs and getting replaced by someone with a degree, I decided to go back. Also because my daughter is 9 and I want to show her she can do it too.

I am 31 and am going to be entering into my 3 semester this time around. Granted I have my associates degree already but being in the business school (accounting) and having to mainitain such a high GPA and not having the energy is not fun. i am happy to be entering into the fall semester, I always do better in the fall of the year. Good luck to everyone going back.

I started college at a very early age. I was 16 when I started college. Well,its normal here in our country. In your case you're 33 and you are starting college, but its not late to start anything. Good luck!

I'm starting Uni in 2011 and although it'll be with everyone else it's still daunting to know how much it's going to cost, especially since it's so hard to get a job these days. I kinda think, economically it might be better to take a few years off between college and University just to work and save up some money. Birdie
