So, I have this question regarding to banks here. I remember that before the World War II, some Jewish deposited their money in the Swiss banks. After German persecuted majority of Jewish, many of these account holders were killed, or disappeared. And Swiss banks best known for keeping all accounts secret. So, if the account holder is deceased, the Swiss Banks also eligible to hold that money. So, what if the same scenario apply here. Hypothetically I open a bank account here in United States, but I won't disclosed this particular account to anyone, even to my closed relatives or friends. All of sudden, I no longer here, would the bank help find the legal heir of that money I deposited after many years without active. So, if there is a dormant account, would the bank do something about it in attempt to contact the account holder?
