Be prepared all the time because anything can happen. I think people should prepare a lot of food because when flood comes, you might get stranded in your house. Plus, it would also be nice to eat during rainy season specially when watching a movie. Also prepare mosquito repellants because dengue mosquitoes will increase in those times

What do you mean? How to prepare for the floods and other disasters brought about by heavy rain or prepare for rain per se regardless of floods and stuff? Well it it's the former, I think the best way to prepare is to check where you live and observe if there are chances of your house getting flooded or if there's a probability for a landslide. I also think that if that's the case, you have to look for another home which would be impractical I know, so option two is to make sure your appliances are all on the second floor of your house. If you don't have a second floor then you better think about making one soon. Anyway, what's most important I think is that you have to make sure that you and your family will be safe no matter what happens. If you're talking about preparing for just rain, then we should just bring umbrellas or raincoats and extra clothes.

I mean preparing in all purpose because we all know that rain will cause a worst trouble when it comes a lot but you're correct in preparing against floods.

Always be prepared not only during rainy seasons. During rainy seasons be prepared to have your umbrella present and be prepared to get sick.
