Annie is really making an effort but JR is not.

Annie is really trying to keep JR at arms length and to make things work out for her and Scott and for JR and Marissa. But JR is not really trying at all. At every turn he is putting pressure on Annie either directly or indirectly to be with her.

Yes I do agree with your statement. That is why JR is getting on my last nerve. He needs to make things good with him and Marissa and stop playing games already.
