I have just read that in Jordan the government is banningover 50 websites to their public sector workers as they are "wasting, on average, two and a half working hours every day on the internet."
I wonder if myLot is one of those banned sites?
Do any of you use your work time to access the interent for other than work?

That is a coincidence. On this morning's radio (Wave 105) I heard the pronouncement of a UK survey regarding this- which concluded that UK business does lose money/ production in this fashion.
I do access the web in work time- but using my own laptop and connection. As a night security oficer I have a lot of down time- I still observe cameras when using something like myLot- and fulfil my duty requirements.
Our site inspectors are actually content for us to use this type of access rather than watch a DVD (distracting) or over read- and you end up nodding off.

Provided that we do our business, I think that is fair. There are still some purists out there who believe that yo must be totally job orientated- that would be fine if the money reflected that, but it rarely does. Nights are the same pay as days for most of us- despite medical proof that we are likely to pop cogs sooner.

These must be the top 50 sites in Jordan.I think that Youtube and Facebook are the biggest time eaters. Then Yahoo group.People spend half of their lives there.
I can understand the employers.
No, I don't think that Mylot is one of those sites.I hope so.
They can still use these sites at home if they have the internet access.

Our workplace is cool. We do nothing but go online the entire day. The only thing banned is facebook and friendster but that's limited to the main branch which is in another province!
Which means, in our branch, we can access any site we wish to access.
It's one of the perks of my job. But the downsides are countless!
