Hi siliguri, actually i am born and brought up in an orthodox family our parents are very religious, my grandmother and my grandfather used to tell us all the stories of holy books. so we used to read and listening to our holy books but i always had a doubt from my child hood that how come there are so many gods, if these many gods are for each religion then why human beings are looks alike, god has so much power they he can create his own people in a different style, why eyes are in the front why they can't be at the back. (i have like this so many silly question about god) I have friends in Christians and also in Muslims. They both are very close with us. My mother never used to allow them inside the house, saying that they are from different culture and different religion. This is what i didn't understand, i used to cry for my mother attitude towards my friends. I want to know the actual difference in the religion so i used to go to church and darga along with my friends and i used to hear their prayer. I never found any difference in any religion only the names and the languages are different. Then i started reading all holy books. I read bible ( i am big fan of Christ/krishna) Bhagvathgita, i don't know the urdu so i didn't read quaran but i heard from my friend, i used to participate when they are praying. I will listen to the Quaran from TV urdu channel.

We read the holy book or the scriptures everyday. WE always find to read it cause its very important and I think its not a good thing that we spend plenty of time at work, with our friends and other stuff but we dont find time to read God's words.

Ive read ramayan and gita in religious books and i must say we can learn many practical things in life by these books like if brothers are faithful and affectionate to each other then they can do wonders together, also if they have jealously and hatred for each other none of them can be successful , these things along with many practical things can be learnt from these books.Belief in god makes end to all fears and built confidence in person and these books also help doing then same.

Yes I have my holy bible. Actually I already read the whole New Testament. My mom teaches me to read the bible and she told me that after I pray I should read the Bible so everyday I'm doing it until I finished the whole New Testament.

i'm a Christian, Roman Catholic to be specific... the first and the last gift My Ninang (Godmother) gave me was a Bible Story book with nice colorful pictures of the prophets, Jesus and the Apostles, Abraham, Moses etc. etc. i love reading this... Unfortunately, i haven't really read the Bible... worse is, i love reading... i don't know why.
