There are a lot of MyLot members who are not a native speaker of English, I too am one of that. I believe that just as long as the though of the discussion or comment you give can be understood then it won't really matter if its grammatically correct or not. But I would really say that I am really trying my best to be grammatically correct somehow..I'm really learning here in MyLot.

Grammar won't effect your myLot earnings. Having said that, it will effect the way people on myLot look at you.
So, make it easier for us guys - use good grammar

I don't think that any kind of spelling error or grammar mistake will reflect negatively on your earnings here on Mylot. I have seen many other members make mistakes in their postings and they are still allowed here. I have noticed that my grammar and English have been improving since I have become a member of Mylot.

It may not reflect on one's earnings if the meaning of your topic/response/comment is clear. But it would be nice if trouble is taken to write correctly, as far as possible, as correct English is like music no with false notes!

mylot only wants quality discussions but it does not discriminate against anyone with language barriers in fact I just read this from the guidelines
Post discussions, responses or comments criticizing members for bad/broken English or bad spelling. Everyone is welcome at myLot, we have users from all around the world and they are welcome regardless of their proficiency with the English Language.
So you see they will not delete anyone with improper English and do not tolerate anyone posting discussion against someone's language barrier.
So to answer your question I have to say no, but make sure that your discussion are of quality.
Hope this answers it for you as I always try to help where I can

No it is not. Grammar is not a factor to consider in your earnings and in your participation as long as you are clear with your discussions or response/comments. In fact, it's in the guidelines that we should NOT criticize others for their bad or broken English considering that there are members from other part of the world that uses English as their 2nd or third language. And everyone is welcome here regardless of their English proficiency.

Grammar does help to make one's discussions clear and easily understood. And that would obviously attract more comments and thus more opportunities for replies which would eventually translate into more chances for earnings. You earn for what you pen!

i too uses short forms like frns for friends..and u for you..i dun (one more..haha) think that this will reflect any thing as long as you are typing sensibly..but ya id o feel that excess use of short forms might one day cause serious harm to English as the regular forms usage will be diminished ......

i was told that it does from a discussion i read a while back. i think there is a system that scans them to see if it makes more sense, you would most likley get more of an earning if you typed correctly.

I just read through all of the responses and I see that no-one has mentioned searcg engines. They pick up the discussions here on myLo but if there are too many errors and too much use of text language then they will not appear.
Grammar probably does not affect earnings but if we can do our best to make our posts as clear as possible then I feel that sense will make cents

vooturi the use of u for you is not proper English usage. this is text speak and should not be used in our discussions as a lot of us do not ttext and we do not know all those made up lingo words. use proper English like you for you as thats not that hard to type.We are asked
to use English here not text speak. Kept that for all the cell phone stuff but do not use it on my lot at all.

Hello there! this is a nice topic. As far as I'm concerned, if you posted a topic for discussion or respond to a certain topic with bad English, it will affect the thought of what you really are trying to convey. That will just lead to a negative mark. But then generally it will not affect your earnings which is the most important thing here in myLot. It will just somehow program the minds of other myLotters that the what you post are sometimes nonesense that they will just skip your topic. sad to hear but true.

I think grammar is not very important but your comments/ responses should give a clear meaning and it should be understandable. Using short forms like you = U is not advisable, it is not mentioned in FAQ or Terms but better to avoid them and write in good English. That also helps you to become a good writer.
