With this drawn series 1-1, India remain at the top of ICC Rankings with 127 points which is 8 points ahead of South Africa which is at 119. Sri Lanka have moved to 115 points which takes them to third position ahead of Australia. What do you say about this? Cheers! Ram

Yes, I believe that is the right way to answer the critics. Show the stuff on the pitch and leave the loose talk to others. Great champions keep doing that. Cheers! Ram

Hello, Congratulations for the Indian team as they proved they are the no.1 team.I know that they can do this due to the presence of mind from the middle order batsmen. The Indian team continues to be the no.1 team in the ICC rankings.Even srilanka have improved their performance. They are in the third position. Now everything is changing. The cricket dominants the Australian team are not topping the ICC rankings.Downfall of the Australian team is due to the retirements of the star players.

All the questions that they would not be able to retain the number one status with this bowling line up now seems to have quietened for some time!! Cheers! Ram

Hello, You are exactly right .The Indian team has to find some good bowlers. They need wicket taking bowlers for the Indian team to maintain their no.1 position in tests.Their next test series against AUSTRALIA will be a tough one. They surely have to preform well in batting .Especially they have to do well in bowling. If the bowling of the Indian team goes down, then they will struggle to beat the AUSTRALIAN team.

india won this test match without their main bowlers zak, sreesanth and bhajji. they also made the gap between them and South africa to 8. Srilanka pushed australia to 4th. With England winning against Pakistan and Ashes to come Australia may be pushed to 5th position. Wll aussies its time for other teams to beat u.

That was probably the sweetest thing. And I think Dhoni is making a habit of getting maximum out of available resources which is really great. Cheers! Ram

Simply superb victory ,yesterday i wrote that India dosent have much chance conditions being difficult and the pressure was immense but Laxman and Tendulkar had different plans, they played superb innings and used there experience very well , hats off to them. After retirement of murali srilanka team has struggled to to convert home advantage and pressure into a victory, whole series they dominated almost by bat and lost to indian team which was short of gambhir , harbhajan , sreesanth and zaheer, and a pretty inexperienced bowling line up.They had great chance to win the series 2-0 ,when team india was not at full strength and they were. This shows that post murali era will not be easy for srilanka , even in home conditions where they are strongest.I dont know whether a 2-0 victory would have taken srilanka to top of rankings or not but i dont think they deserved to be number one, since they were far from performing well outside srilanka except in pakistan and bangladesh which can be termed as weak test sides.Having said that like i mentioned that i think some magic by laxman or tendulkar can win india the match and they did exactly that .Now it looks like team india will be no 1 for sometime more because i dont think australia can beat india at home untill indians play very bad cricket, so this fight for top ranking will be decided in SA where india will play in jan.

Yes, but I was quite confident as we do claim to be good players of spin and if so we had to perform. It was really a good performance. Cheers! Ram

Its really sweet that India has amintained its no.1 position...they played like true champs and they are..100% consistency is always difficult to maintain...its not impossible but they need to keep on trying and take each and every game seriously and not be complacent...if complacency seeps in then it would be reall difficult to stay at the top....Indians need to play well against the australians as they would be hungry after their last defeat against pakistan(which they lost after a gap of 15 years---a reocr in itself)..and now standing at 4th position in the rankings...so india beware and all the best....Cherish this moment indians. cheers

Dhoni's captaincy record also seems to get better with the day. He has already one of the top 4 all time records for captains who have captained more than 15 test match and it just seems to be getting better. Cheers! Ram
