I just started working as an article writer paid by hour. Problem is, it takes time for me to write. I spend more than an hour doing research, half an hour to organize my thoughts and an hour to write and edit. More or less, I spend an average of 3 to 4 hours to finish a well-researched article of 600-700 words. I just want to ask you guys how much time you spend writing in an article that you are not familiar with? Is there any key or tips to write an article in a lesser time?

The more knowledge you have with the subject the lesser time it will take for you to finish it. Just make sure that you're in the mood to write that article because if not well it would take you longer to finish it.

"Inspiration" is the word. I like that. It is something material or intangible?

Half an hour if I have an idea and about an hour and a half if I have got no clue what I am writing about in the first place. I know people who can write a whole text with paragraphs and all in fifteen minutes, it is kinda amazing.

To write an article of 600 to 700 words it takes me about 5 to 6 hours normally. When considering the writing of an article, I take into account the various angles that can be possible with it, just like Politically, economically etc for an example. I grasp all the thoughts, put them into points and then make up the framework of the topic. This provides the basis for the topic and then I go on adding information to it. I too wanted to know how I could resolve this in the minimum time.

Hi ronslove, I also write articles for another site. If the article has to be researched, I spend a lot of time on that as facts have to be checked well before being submitted in the article. If the article is being written from my experience, it usually takes me about 45 minutes to write it or even less, but if I have to do research, it may take me about 2 hrs or even more. I usually copy and paste interesting parts of an article together with the source of where it was taken from, to the page I am working on. This is so I don't have to loose time going back and forth doing research. While I build the article, I take what I like from what I have found before and when I'm finished, I delete every item I had copied and pasted. I would then end up with only my article left. I find this helps me a lot.

Thanks for the tip! I am using that way too but sometimes I could not get source that is complete and reliable. Have you known of any reputable Search Engine that gives the BEST reliable results? I use ezinearticles and dogpile to search, mind sharing yours?

well writing is creativity and this needs time.an article of good quality of 500 words need almost one hour but you can control the time and quality if you use certain tools and follow some tips and guidelines.because mostly we are getting paid for articles at the rates ranging from $0.50 to $5 the most not more than that and if you are highest paid spending such time as said is good but otherwise it is not.so try to use some handy tools to quicken your writing.you can follow my blog for more information about writing I have a special blog on that...good luck

It takes me about 25-30 minutes to write a 250 word article. 400 words takes me about 45 minutes, depending on what I'm writing about. My advice is that you know what you want to write about before starting to write. Since I write reviews, I usually have to research information if it's a movie, with a book review it takes less time because I only have to look up who the author is, the publisher, and when it was published. Movies and TV show reviews always take a lot longer for me to write because I have to look up more information about it. you could probably write faster if you know a lot without having to look up information about whatever you're writing for.

It takes an hour for me to write 600-700 words article. How? I research the topic online, skim through each paragraph and choose the ones related to the topic I am writing about, then re-read each paragraph and understand it, write on how I understood on what was said and voila! All can be done in less than an hour. Of course i always spend extra minutes to proofread after writing before sending it to my content buyers! I just got lazy the past weeks because I seldom find good buyers who pay fast. And I really hate waiting to get paid!
