Anybody knows the name of the lion that roars in the MGM logo?

Well I looked it up on Wikipedia, so all info to be taken with a pinch of salt, but apparently the lion we all know is called “Leo”. Very fitting of course. Before that there was “Slats”, “Jackie”, “Tanner” and “George”. You can read more about them and their lives at Wikipedia by looking up “Leo the Lion”

From what I’ve read, Volney Phifer was the name of one of the lion’s trainers.
