Do you like GREAT TEACHER ONIZUKA or GTO from Animax?

Are you also a follower of Great Teacher Onizuka? Which one? The anime or the live action? Why do you also like it?
I like watching that because aside from the fact that it was really funny then I've learned something and realized from GTO. I really like how it was delivered especially in terms of education. You would realized that GTO the bad guy has a good kind of heart who wants to take care of his students and other people. He is a typical pervert but then a selfless who has his control.

I would prefer to read the manga version. :) Besides, it's the original version of the story, and all else are only adaptations.
Plus, you can read it online, without having to buy a whole bunch of CDs. ;P

Meaning the original ones are on the books? Not on TV since that is already an adaptation?

I love Great Teacher Onizuka. I actually own the entire anime series. I've also seen the live action Japanese drama but I think I prefer the anime more. It is a lot funnier. Onizuka's teaching methods are really unique and I'm really surprised that he gets away with a lot of the stuff. I can't imagine that happening in real life. GTO is what got me into the school comedy genre.

How I wish there is Eikichi Onizuka in real life so that we are going to realize something especially our wrong doings. It helps me realized that when we want to learn something it is not always from the people that are really good especially the religious person.
