Hello friends
Yesterday we went to pay our electricity for june, it was 15$, but the girl checked the new bill, it is 95$. This is too much for summer bill for one month. It's true that we use a lot of power things - fridge, climatic, cooking range, boiler, washing machine. Also we have 8 lamps, but we use only 4 or 5.
After this large bill, i'm worried what we will have to pay in the winter, when it's very cold. Now it's just too hot and we use the climatic, but not all the time.
So i decided to make plan, what will save us power and will make our bills for the next month, less.
First thing what we will do is to buy energy safe lamps and will put it everywhere.
All of that things is investment for less bills.
Next thing i will do as a housewife is to use some of all technics we use economically. Electricity in the night is cheaper than this is the days. I can't cut the fridge, and use it only when i need cold things, so this is the thing what can't be changed. But i can turn on the boiler only in the nights, and in the days it will be on for less time, just to keep to water warm. Me and my boyfriend work in the nights, so our breakfast is not earlier than in the afternoon. Next cooking will be after 9 in the evening, so using cooking range will be late in the night = cheaper. Before when we used the climatic it was with opened doors, and cold temperature. Now we keep it on 26 degrees for longer time and that temperature is great for everything. And the last thing we have is washing machine - i can try to cut my washing and to do it not more than 2-3 times a week, early in the morning, before we go to sleep.
For now this is my plan and with all machines we want to order for saving power, i hope it won't be more than 50$ for future.
How about you? How do you save electricity? How do you use it?
I'll be thankful is you share your ideas, my mind is open for new things :)
Cheers and great weekend :)

It sounds like you are doing everything you can do save. I know how you feel. I live in Florida, and we are having a very hot and humid summer. I am trying to keep the air conditioner use down to 10 hours a day with fans the rest of the time. It is tough. I cannot leave my front window open due to the high crime so I do not have good airflow. It can get to 100 degrees in the apt. if I do not use the air conditioner during the heat of the day.
Good luck!

Thank you Adoniah :)
This summer is strange, it has never been like that here. Degrees are the same like before, but the air doesn't move at all.
I hope it will be soft winter, without a lot of snowing and winters, so we can use less power for future too. I don't know what is the reason, but it looks like weather is against us too, as everything else.
I'm doing everything from yesterday. Our payments here are like 200-300$ a month, we can't handle 95$ for power every month :(
