What if your Sideline Income exceeds your main income?

This commonly happens among employees who turn to entrepreneurs... often times in the multi level networking sector.. Some times the earnest money exceeds monthly income by a factor of X2 , X3, X5 or more... this occurrence often ends up that the employee quits his day job and goes full time on his sideline.. unfortunately, most MLM or networking is short live.. and Filipinos often times succumbs to the "hot pan de sal syndrome". Is there a formula to use for you to determine income sufficient enough to leave your day job? What if sideline income becomes mainline income?

hi, i will be thankful if i had a sideline income that will exceeds to my income at work, and if that will happen to me i will continue that sideline together with my full time work so that i could have more earning, and if i will feel tired in my full time work then the time for me to focus on my sideline and become my primary income.

Then I would call that my main income!

Then I would say you are very lucky! I think everyone should decide for the number themselves though... it is not a decision that should be taken lightly to quit your job for something like this.

I don't think that's going to happen to me for a long time, but it will be nice when it does. I just do writing for extra cash right now, but I'm sure once I get well established on the sites I'm writing for, it'll start to take off.

It is ok to leave the job it the sideline work is a business or work which is going to last for a very long time. If it is something like MLM we better stick to the days jobs as long as possible because in MLMs there is no guarantee of work. What if the new members stop?
