I am sure any of you guys can relate. We all have favorite things (I can hear Julie Andrews voice now in my mind singing my favorite things * the Sound of Music* lol)
This super very old tshirt was given to me by my aunt when I was 13 years old. Yes. This tshirt is 10 plus years old already. lol. And I still wear it. I love dolphins and whales and the this tshirt she gave me has dolphins as a design in a sky blue color.
I remember my mom used to get mad at me because no matter what she does: from scolding me to threatining me that she'll use my tshirt as a rag - lol - she just can't make get rid of it. Cause what i do is that after I wear it, either I hide it or wash the tshirt myself.
Now, my fave tshirt has a lot of holes. In the armpits. lol. Neckline. Still wearable and I always wear it to sleep because it makes me feel comfortable.

Oh I have several t-shirts like that! They are so comfortable and really just feel good when you wear them! I love wearing mine. I get the same sort of remarks from my family members. No one would dare throw mine away though. I finally did give up the ghost on one t-shirt recently. It was a long t-shirt that I used as a nightgown... well the neckline was just hanging on in about 4 places and the arm pits had holes in them. I finally had to throw it away. Well put it in the scrap bag at least. I did take some scissors to it so that I would not change my mind and salvage it from the scrap bag! I loved that t-shirt! It was comfy and fit me just right. I am right there with you on the comfortable tees!

LOL. It's like breaking up with your boyfriend - you just can't let it go. Mine is still here. Still wearable for now. LOL. But I really love shirts like this one because it makes you feel the best feeling in the world before you go to sleep. :D

LOL! Yes it is like breaking up! I still have a few with holes left around here. I think my next to go is the 2007 Aerosmith concert tshirt. It has several holes. I think the washer must eat all of my favorite shirts! The other two on the block are just plain gray tshirts.... Oh but they are all so comfortable!!

Another one of my holey shirts bit the dust. It was one of my favs! My University of North Carolina (GO HEELS!) tshirt saw fit to rip from under the arm all the way down to the seam at the bottom ( with help from my toddler!). Sad day!

I have this one favorite shorts that I still have. It's not given to me by anyone, But the reason why it was so special to me, Is because It was a high-school dressmaking project, I can't believe how old it is, I love it so much because I'm so proud how it turned out. I've worn it for so many years, I guess one of the reason why it didn't gave up one me so easily is because in the first few years, I make sure that I didn't wear it very very often, but after many years it faded and so I started wearing it all the time, It finally gave up on me just a year before i got married but it did serve me well! "Well done Shorts!" i missed you! LOL!

In my first year in high school, we are also asked in our HE subject to make shorts and after we make it - we will have a fashion show to know which project is the best. Memories. =)
I can't wear my shorts (project) because I got chubby so it was given to a relative.
Long live our Shorts! LOL

I'm not sure of the exact dates. But I do have lots of it. Mostly clothes. My mom just let me be. They're comfortable and besides I just wear them at home just like what you do. So no worries if it has any holes.

I have a favourite cup LOL it has my star sign on it and I don't know why but I've had it for such a long time that I have grown attached to it and I would be upset if it broke or anything as I have a lot of memories of that cup.

True. My mom also has this small orange glass bowl that she brings with us whenever we moved around from one apartment to another. Just like you, she also has this special attachment to it and she even told me that certain bow is older than me. :D
