Voodoo Causing Trouble... Again!

So yesterday she had a piddle on the floor and my partner held her towards it to tell her "No!" so she knew it was naughty. She scrabbled of course and the slippery little thing she is, got out of his grasp and soaked up a fair bit of wee down one side in the process.
Today she's a little yellow and smelly down one side. I've trying mopping her down a bit and grooming her with her little brush, but she's still whiffy and she won't stay still for more than a few seconds at a time.
I've never given her a proper bath before because I've never needed to, she's a typical cat and keeps herself clean.
Quite an upsetting discovery today, I've noticed a bald, red, raw looking patch down by her back leg (on the opposite side to her pee-fur) so I rang the vet. She's off to visit him tomorrow to take a look at the sore spot (possibly needing a jab like when she had one before that the vet called "wet eczema"), but also the lady on the phone told me that if I value my fingers, not to try and bathe her myself and that the vet will take care of it if necessary!
I'm so relieved that he'll be doing that, but I'm really apprehensive about tomorrow. Voodoo hates the car and the cat carrier and whinges and whines pitifully the whole way. It breaks my heart every time!
I don't think either Voodoo or I will be having a good day tomorrow, but at least if there's an infection it will be taken care of promptly. My poor baby girl!

Make sure you tell your Vet she piddled on the floor. That is not normal for a cat and if she has a skin problem this may account for it. Cats are very clean and if she has a clean litter box will use it unless something else is wrong. You need to watch your cat closely for changes in habits and don't punish them, they have no idea what you are punishing them for. Cats have very strong habits and are most comfortable when things are the same. I know you love her and are trying your best. Blessings

She's had the piddle problem for years. It's better than it used to be, but she still has the occasional wee by the front door.
The vet's checked her out for other problems, we've tried techniques of moving food to the area she wees in, graduating the litter tray from the problem area to where we want her to go, trying different kinds of litter in her tray, making sure the tray is always clean, feliway pheromone spray, clonicalm pills... You name it, we tried it. She's a happy little cat, loving and playful and she knows that peeing away from the litter tray is naughty, but she won't stop. I think we feel like it's just the way she is by this point. She's 4 and 1/2 now.
