I have decided that I am going to take a holiday somewhere ( not too sure where yet) but probably Morocco or Tunisia in October, my curent passport expires on 11th February 2011. Do I need to renew that before I go,I seem to remember a 6 month figure but not sure if it is the same a it's almost 10 years since I renewed my passport. Googling it comes up with various answers!!!!

I'd renew it fairly soon. Sometimes the delays are horrific. It's also around £80 now!

I'm thinking of going to Europe now to save having to chanbe them right before the holiday - I'd rather spend that £200 on the holiday!!

Oldchem1: Ouch. You could do with out that. I don't think you can qualify for the combined application either. Stine1: I like new technology, but sometimes these ideas don't help at all!

Almost all countries require that you have at least six months left on your passport in order to get a visa or enter the country. Checking with the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs www.maec.gov.ma could give you more clarity. You could alternatively contact their embassies in the UK.

Thank you, I thought it was but wasn't too short - so id depends on the country that you are visiting?
