I am wondering if anybody knows - and what you would do if you were in my shoes.
If someone files a complaint - for the sake of this discussion, say it's related to your property or something ON your property, is there a legal way to find out WHO complained? Is it legal to file a complaint back on them, or basically a legal way to retaliate?
I am really sick and tired of complaints, nosy people, and the like. I am not nosy nor do I complain about my neighbors... I don't care what they do as long as they don't rev up a harley at 6 AM on a Saturday morning and wake my kids and scare my baby so she's screaming. Aside from that.... I do not live in a community that is gated NOR does it have an HOA or any specific guidelines I have to adhere to. We have nothing that is blocking any common areas or anything that is parked or on the street. We have a non op car IN THE DRIVEWAY which is AWAY from the street and doesn't interfere with anybody's property or access to it, and a trailer that is parked in the back yard but on the SIDE of the house enclosed by a locked security chain link fence. We park two cars in the driveway because we have too much stuff in the garage to have room to park anything.
I'd really like to know what the deal is. If anybody has experience with something like this and has any suggestions for what I can do, please, I am all ears!!

If the complaints get to the point where they are harassment, especially if they have no foundation, you should be able to file something to stop it. But how do you find out? Not sure, often agencies will keep that information confidential.

When we lived with my mother, there were complaints on her property a couple of times because she had so many cars at the house (there were six people that drove each with their own cars). Whenever we had this happen we were able to find out who it was that was complaining about the situation. Other than that, when there isn't a valid reason behind the complaint, you are able to make a complaint on a false complaint in our area.

himommyboo It sounds like the complainers have nothing to really complain about so they are just being really obnoxiously annoying.I would take these complaints to the police and the mayor of your town to see what can be done and also to assure yourself you have not inadvertently broken any city rules or regulations. If you are armed with the city ordinances
then when they biatch at you again, you can point out you are not breaking any city r ules whatsoever.

Everyone has a right to demand to know "Who is my accuser"?
