So... there's a lot of people that don't have phones right now... even though you can find month by month plans (with no contract) really cheap nowadays through companies like Boost Mobile ($50/month). But, say, you can't afford that monthly fee, either. Whatever should you do?? There is a cellphone service available through Virgin Mobile called Assurance Wireless. It varies by area... but you receive 200 monthly minutes free, Internet and texting costs but that's pretty good... as a free deal!!! To become eligible, you of course have to be either unemployed or fall under one of the stipulations (food stamps, WIC, medicaid, etc.)... after visiting the website, you will have to call an 800 # and leave your information. Within 3-5 business days, you should receive paperwork to apply. Once you send it in and become approved, within another few days you'll have a new phone loaded with 200 free minutes!!
