Getting started with torrents

I just learnt how to use torrents but stuff like utorrent do not work for me there is this recurring yellow light at the bottom that says a bunch of crap and nothing downloads can someone tell me of a good torrent client that does not deal with this bunch of connection crap and gives you good download speeds .

well i have used some of the torrents software and they really dont matter much depending on download speed.
but i use utorrent because its the lightest of them all. ( lightest for my computer).
what you need to look for a torrent is if it has a lot of seeders. without this one you will not get decent downloads.
and ofcourse there are network configurations and such but if you use utorrent there is a preference tab that will let it do it for you.
