making money online! legitimate or scam??

when i was surfing the net a window message pop up "Make Money Online! Click here to know how did i get paid this amount $$$$$ in one month." The amount is quite huge so i've tried to enter the site you have to pay $49 through credit card so i can access and start earning. This made me think why should i pay and shed out some money if your purpose of surfing the site is to earn. How will i know if the online jobs are legitimate or scam? Help...:)

Most of the site that requires payment and has a too good to be true income offer it is categorized as scam. If I were you avoid those sites that requires payment from your membership, there are a lot of legitimate sites that don't require such.
