It's past bedtime, but here I still am, on the computer.
I've decided to change my title to my daily post here. I won't always being working on a quilt, even though it is a daily goal. I just don't always find the time.
Today was sewing club at church. One of the lady's taught us a way to use up the scrap. Last month we started ironing them and cutting them into strips. Another lady cut the leftover sheets from the month before when we made Bible school costumes.
I took a photo, but forgot my camera. Forgive it being on the blurry side. It's my first time using my cell phone to take a photo to share. They come out so small and as I enlarged it, it got blurry.
The quilts are going to be so pretty, and I can't wait to make one with my leftover materials.
Next month one of the other members of our club is going to teach us how to make toothbrush rugs. I really look forward to that. In fact, that's what I've spent this evening doing. I cut long strips out of the edging of one of the sheets I used for one of my quilt bottoms.
Until tomorrow,
Marsha

Its nice to belong to a sewing club. I have been looking for a craft club in my area and I found one not too far from me that meets once a month that I am going to start attending. Its a great place to make new friends and to learn new things. Good Luck on your Quilt.

The one at my church was started so that we could sew quilts to give to the domestic violence center. Since then we've also done lap quilts for one of the "old folks" home (sorry, don't know what else to call it)
now we do a mixture of both.......
I would love to find another sewing club in town, especially that is free. It always gets me motivated to get me going on my own stuff at home when I go each month.
