Yeah that is sad. I'm pretty sure if GMA didn't do the holidays moving to the nearest monday he would have done that. But she did. And so he wouldn't do it just to be different from GMA.

I think I will agree with you. Anything that the former President did will not be done by the present administration. Why? to make her look even worse. i do not see any other reason. Frankly, I am for moving the holiday to the nearest Monday.

Hi! yeah, i just heard about this too in the news yesterday.. i guess it was the right decision. we should actually celebrate the holidays on its actual date, instead of moving it around. that will be more predictable that way... :D though i am sad about this, i think i am more supportive.

For us who has been spoiled with the long weekends by GMA - to be able to face this new change - I felt a little crappy because there are plans already of a long getaway weekend. LOL.
But he's the President. So might as well mumble our disappointment and just go on with what has been declared. :D

I am super disappointed with that announcement because it is the only time that we can be able to take a good break from hectic schedule. I don't think it will make the businessmen in the Philippines poorer with that one-day break. The government should look what will be the benefits that can be gained by the ordinary workers for that free day from work. We are already full of stress and pressure and too much work is detrimental to one's health. Gosh!

Yey! More work be productive.. Loving our new president. I am not actually a fan of the do nothing and go on vacation movement. But I guess the president has some valid reason on doing it so. If 23 is declared a non working holiday people will start to have vacation starting on the 20th then returning to work on the 24th. What a waste of valuable time. But thinking on the other side, there will be more local tourist traveling to different destination because of the long holiday. Now makes me wonder money stimulating tourist or more time to earn more at work?

For a call center agent, that won't be a very good news. But, I guess it's sound and fair so I'm ok with it. Also, since it's my off on saturday, it won't be much of a news for me.

Well, I guess it's back to the way things were. It was only GMA who went ahead and moved the holidays. I think it confused lots of elementary school students. I won't say that I didn't benefit from that. I liked those long weekends. But maybe it's time for us to shape up. You know, work when we must be working. P-Noy was just pushing us to do just that. Cheers!
