I was selling a gift-card online...It got bided on by honest bidder...then some stupid scammer bided nearly double the value...i thought he was stupid and he paid....so everyone was fine (so i left good feedback)....they he made up some BS story on how someone "hacked his account" and he never "really bided" on my item...TOTAL LIE... Now...Paypal removed the money i was sent... The giftcard code i sent the buyer "scammer" is already redeemed There is nothing i can do...and i cant even leave a bad feedback on him...=( My Advice on how to avoid.... 1.Don't sell to people who have 10 or less feedback 2.Dont send feedback until feedback is left for you... 3. Talk to the buyer...Make sure they respond...before sending gift card.( so you know they are reliable and can talk if need be..

That is absolutely disgusting. I think you should report to ebay that the item the buyer purchased has already been used, and copy the same to Paypal. Actually, if you explained it all to Paypal, you may receive your money again.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Well, you'll know next time to be careful.

You should've added to the item, that because of the nature of the product selling, no returns, refunds, or claims are accepted once it's sold.

wow, thanks for letting us know. you should be able to call ebay, explain it to them. i think they will be able to help you. everytime i had an issue with another ebay user they were able to solve it. also call paypal or file a claim against that person, if you can prove some how that the address that the items were shipped too ( if they bought something from offline with the giftcard) matches the address of that users address that they have registered on ebay, then you should have a good case.

Sad to hear about your encounter. If the person really planned this thing up, he must have thought of it throughly. Making use of the loophole...Because I seldom use Paypal, I don't realized that they could do that. It's better if one can check the buyer's feedback record. Previously, I have encounter some accounts whose feedback were fake, as the feedbacks were given from fake bidders. (I encountered before that generous seller who creates auctions for the sake of giving the bidders free positive feedback.) Thus, even if the feedback is more than 10, it's always good to double check the feedback credibility.
