Are your child picky eater? Mine surely is! She doesn't eat vegetables, mix porridge with tit-bits etc... Any ideas on how to train children/toddlers to eat?

My daughter is not a picky eater, but growing up with a little brother who has always been the biggest picky eater EVER!!! I learned early with my daughter that yes she may not like it but just kept giving her the veggies and things she didn't like as much and eventually she came around to eat them. Veggies are hard sometimes for kids, try giving them some flavor ex. salt or pepper..etc. as for mixed porridge i have no clue because i have never even ate that...lol

An easy way that I do persuade my children to eat vegetables is show him that I really enjoy eating vegetables. I also do not force them to eat vegetables or promising a prize if they want eat vegetables, this I do because I'm sure, forcing them not any benefit and give prize to them same as teach that eating this food is not a fun

I was a picky eater as a child. I'm still kind of picky now, although I've gotten a lot better. I'm not a parent, nor do I know much about raising kids. My advice is just to try to get your kids to try something- even just a small bite. Don't force them- a lot of times forcing to hard will make kids resist more. Just try to expose them to as much as possible. Their tastes will change as they grow up. If you are concerned about what they'll eat, health-wise, there are several cookbooks out there that have recipes that have secret ingredients in them- like vegetables in brownies and stuff like that.

Yes, both of my children were and still are picky eaters. They do not like very many vegetables and a lot of other things I cook. As hard as it is since we know eating veggies is good for you, I just let them eat the things that I know they like. I do not force them to eat something they don't like but we have a rule that they have to taste it each time I cook it even if they already know they don't like it. Who knows, they may learn to like it one day! But in the meantime, I don't force them to eat what they don't like... there are some things I don't like and I wouldn't like to be forced to eat them.
