I had an old argument or debate to some of my former students before when they said that all people are materialistic while others disagreed.
What is materialism to you? Would you rather say you are materialistic or all else are? Why?

Its okay to be materialistic as long as you have lots of extra money to spend. I can say that i am not. All i want in my life is a place where i can call my dream house. If i want something and i can't afford it i just stare at the items until i get rid of the feeling of wanting it.
In that way i I'll found out if i really want it. I know two persons that are materialistic but they are so different. The person 1 is filthy rich but not dependent with her parents wealth, she earn her own money to have the items she wants. The other person is has a average life, she work for her "items".
