Ao Dai is a Vietnamese national outfit, now primarily for women. In its current form, it is a tight fitting-silk tunic worn over pantaloons. It is very beautiful!

cac2010 Yes I've seen it on movies. It's beautiful but it's color black and with those matching hat covering almost their bodies from the sun and covers their face also so you can hardly see how beautiful their faces. Vietnamese and filipinos are very very similar in features and you can tell them almost the same by race. You will just recognize the differences when they speak their own language.

Yes, I am aware of what Ao Dai is, and I was very fortunate to have seen authentic Vietnamese women in this attire when I visited Vietnam last year. The outfit is very appropriate for Vietnamese because they are a very active people. I say this because in my short stay in Vietnam, I did not see anyone who was overweight or obese -- no kidding!
