A man in Buffalo NY was pulled over by the cops for a traffic violation & they heard a cat meowing in the trunk. Upon further investigation, they found a poor cat in the trunk in a container marinating in chili peppers, crushed red peppers, & oil. When they asked him about the cat, he said he was going to eat it for dinner. He claimed that the 4 year old neutered male cat had gotten pregnant after it was spayed, said it was an ill-tempered cat & was a greedy cat; so he was going to teach it a lesson. 
When I first heard this on the news, I thought he should be put under the jail house!!! After reading this article, I've determined that he must be crazy or WORSE!!!! The cat has been taken away from him & cleaned up. Fortunately, the cat has been adopted into a good home. This article doesn't say that; but that's what they said on the news tonight!!! 
Have you ever heard anything this insane??? What was your reaction to this story????

That is crazy! But, I have to admit, I sort of find it humorous in a way, behind the horror of it. It almost seems like something out of a cartoon.

There's a big difference between a cartoon character and a real live, living breathing animal--perhaps you might find it humorous to see a cat burned alive? There are sickos out there in the world that do exactly that

Hi Lady Marissa
There are some really sick people out there,luckily for the cat this sad excuse for a human being was pulled over by the cops.
There was a recent case here of a middle aged woman walking along a sububurban road, a cat walking along a wall walks towards her she starts to stroke the cat,looks around her picks up the cat and lifts the lid of a wheelie bin and throws the cat into the bin, and walks away,where it stayed for hours until the owners lifted the lid of the bin to find the cat meowing inside . This act was caught on cctv. not as frightening as the man in buffallo, but still unnessary cruelty to animals I think.

Oh Goodness, Lady Marissa,
I just read your posting. I hadn't heard of this sickening story. Made me curl in the stomach. What a sicko guy. I woudl think that something is definitely wrong with the man psychologically. Whether it be a joke or not, it is gross, disgusting, and plain dangerous that he had these thoughts!

He's most definitely sick in the head!!!! It's been 3 months & he's swearing the neutered male cat is a female having kittens & he said the marinade he was using was the blood from her having her kittens. He's changed the part about eating the cat just to teach her a lesson. He appears to be a very confused man!!! The cat now has a good & loving home & being well taken care of!!!!

Oh that is just horrible! I saw a video of the cat afterward, he is a beautiful feline and I can't believe anyone would do that. I am very glad that somebody who will love the cat adopted it. :] It doesn't matter how ill-tempered or 'greedy' a cat is. I don't even understand how a cat could be greedy, but, it doesn't matter if a cat is ill-tempered for greedy. They don't deserve to be eaten. The guy seems greedy himself, I wonder how he would react to that kind of torture.

Cats can be very greedy, but it doesn't mean they need to be abused!!! I'm glad the cat has been placed in a loving home where he'll receive good care!!!

It gets even scarier as it's been about a month & he's still insisting it's a female cat that was miscarrying & he was just trying to return it to the ASPCA. He's most definitely sick!!! What scares me most is he is NOT getting the help he so desperately needs!!! I fear we will be hearing more about this guy when he goes berserk & kills a group of people.

Yeah, I have heard of this news and it seems that the story in this news has lead to a hot discussion in some social media sites, such as Twitter and Facebook. Fortunately, this cat has been taken away from the person and cleaned up, which is a good result for all readers here.
Eating my cat? I have never had such an amazing thought, although it is absolutely legal in my country.

Actually I have heard that is a cat has fleas real bad to oil them down and to sprinkle salt on them because fleas hate salt and that the oil will suffocate the fleas and mites even that a cat can have. the chili peppers and flakes could have made the cat to stop licking it off. But seriously to think that a male cat was pregnant..now that is really delusional. But I am glad the cat is safe and hopefully someone will find it a good loving home that will love it a lot but not enough to want to eat it.

The cat now has a wonderfully loving home!!! Now the guy is insisting that the cat was in the midst of miscarrying & that it was blood in the pan not marinade & he was returning the cat to the ASPCA because he wanted a male cat. According to the cops, it was a neutered male cat in his trunk. This guy must be completely bonkers!!!

I find it to be disgusting. Crazy is a good word for this guy. It's not normal for any individual to eat their pet. If the pet is unruly and can't be controlled, there are animal shelters out there that will take it and let it be adopted again. We had a cat, had to put her to sleep last year, and I adored her. She was my best companion during the day and quite entertaining. I grieved over our cat for a very long time. She had cancer and I nursed her at home until the very end. She was a special pet and I will always remember her.

I read an article about this earlier today. How sick?!?!
I read that the kitty was still alive, and I hope it still is and will survive.
I was glad to read this crazy man will be charged, but it seems to me he needs to be more than that, like put into an insane asylum!!

I have continued to follow this story & the cat was placed in a kind & loving home where he is doing quite well. The man is quite sick...in the head. He insists that the cat was in the middle of a miscarriage & the fluids were actually the blood from that event. Only problem...the cat is a neutered male. Maybe this man will get the help he so desperately seems to need & the cat got the good home it needed. I hope the end of this goes well for ALL involved!!!

He's been put on the ASPCA's list of "Do NOT Allow to Adopt". He's still insisting that it's a female cat. He's still insisting that it was pregnant. Now he's saying it was miscarrying at the time,. This man needs to be locked away in a mental institution. He most definiotely does NOT need to be walking the streets!!!!

Hi LadyM,
I am seeing red after reading this, what a cruel man, I would love to put the same marinade on him and even put rub it in his eyes and see how he feels, then throw him in jail wit just stale bread and water. I am so glad the cat is ok and thank God for the copes that stopped him and then rescued the cat, I would have knocked his block off first.

He's very very sick and need's "HELP" because the poor cat it's not fair that a person should treat them that way....I know I got 5 cats and dog they drive me crazy some times but not to do that. I wouldn't dare think of eatting them I get mad at them but they know and always come back I "LOVE" them all.

He is insane, indeed! I can never imagine to eat a dog how much more a cat! Wait how those animal welfare advocates will react to his deed. He is unforgivable...
Animals are protected by laws here in the Philippines and killing them for human consumption has a jail time and penalty. Of course there are animals that were raised for consumption but pets like dogs and cats are not included. Plus, there is a greater danger of acquiring diseases like rabies from eating their meat.
I'd say that man is sooooo gross!

That is by far one of the most disgusting things that I have ever herad in my life. That man has got to be a loony. I would never consider eating my cat. First of all I am Vegeatrian and second because plain and simple it is just wrong. I hope this huy gets jail time and is never able to have any pet again for the rest of his life.

The ASPCA has put him on a list to NEVER be able to adopt another pet!!! I understand that may not keep him from getting another animal, but it might help!!!! Now he's claiming that the cat was in the middle of miscarrying & the marinade was in reality her blood. Only problem...the cat is a neutered MALE!!! He obviously needs some psychiatric care, so I'm not so sure jail is the appropriate place for him. I hope he gets the help he so desperately needs!!!!

Just when you think that people couldn't be any more cruel
to an animal you get a wacko like this one! I hope the
punishment fits the crime, although they never do! And
you know that I mean marinating him the same way and
cooking him and throwing him out! This article made me
angry and sick to my stomach that this psycho almost
really ate this poor sweet innocent cat! Sh!t, my
cats are the loves of my lifes and I would do anything
for them and I only wish I could adopt many more so
that none of them ever had to suffer at the hands of
another lunatic again! Sorry for the mini rant, but
animal abusers are right up there with child abusers to me!

This discussion really needed a rant Leslie. Now he's saying he wasn't going to eat the cat; but the cat was miscarrying her babies & that it was blood in the pan. Well, the cat was a neutered MALE cat & unable to miscarry. The ASPCA has put him on a list so that he can NEVER adopt another animal!!! The cat now has a new, very loving owner & a happy life!!!

Nothing I've read since indicates that the man will be punished nor that he will get any psychiatric help. I find that very sad!!!!! He will be released back into the streets to inflict his illness on innocent people or other animals. After he kills an innocent person, everybody will be shocked & wondering how it could happen!!! I believe he desperately needs help!!! 'He's insisting that the fluids in the pan were blood from the cat miscarrying. That tells me that he's still delusional after weeks of being incarcerated. HE NEEDS HELP!!!!

Eating cat or other pets is popular in Guangdong province in China. In fact, they eat most of the animals they can capture. Many believe the cat can give them relief from ED and also can increase testosterone because cat looks like small tiger. They would like to beat the cat heavily before put it into a pot full of boiling water. Because they think the meat will be tight and the blood is boiling which leads to a good taste.
Also, many nuisance children in China like to beat small animals like wild cat or wild dog in the streets or neighbourhood.

geez! that's plain sick! this man must've been sick in the head. I hate animal cruelty and if I hear something like that it makes me really mad.
seriously, if you don't want your cat to get pregnant, get a male cat and if you're not an animal lover then don't even get it!
some people are really sick!
I have two cats myself and if I only hear my little brothers having them in their hands for too long I already get angry and ask them to leave them walk around freely, but something like this...that's just over sane line.

Yes, it was a MALE cat & it had been neutered!!! The man is still insisting it is a female cat that was pregnant, but now he's saying it was in the middle of a miscarriage & he was just returning it to the ASPCA. Fortunately the man has been put on a list at the ASPCA so he can never adopt another animal. I know this won't stop him from picking one up off the street, but it does reduce his chances of ever having another pet!!!
