Do you have this on your walls?

Can you believe that just three photos transformed my house from a low class dwelling into a classy hotel?
Initially I had nothing on my walls and the living room looks really plain and boring, then I had a brainwave and hang up some pictures with frames. Immediately, the room looked prettier and cheerier. I am so pleased with the result.
What kind of decorations do you have on your walls? How do you feel about them?

my parents recently hanged pictures of us (me and siblings) on our wall at home~
mine was one from my primary school graduation.
i looked pretty angry in it, i wasn't smiling at all! then i remembered, my mom scolded me that day for being so slow...
i felt really bad then, but as it's something i just laugh about now.
our wall was just...white and 'there' before.
but now it's something that revives memories that we could laugh about~(^_^)

I think it's such an annoyance to take photos but they sure bring back nice memories.
I also remembered my primary school graduation photo, they thought I was a boy and gave me a tie and shorts to wear. After much ado, they realized they gave me the wrong things and I was then correctly dressed as a girl again. It was very reminiscent to look at the picture.

they mistook you for a boy?0_o haha
who are 'they' exactly? i hope they weren't your parents! lol:D
haha. of course it couldn't possibly be them.
so you looked quite boyish then? maybe with short cropped hair and a bit of a rough face? haha. i did. (and maybe i still have the rough face til now. lol)
my mom liked to have my hair cut short when i was young....
and i couldn't do anything about it that time~(T_T)

They are the teachers handing out our uniforms. I have short hair them and there's lots of people rushing around so mistakes occurred.
Rough face means stubble or pimples?

I really don't have anything in my wall(room). It's just plain pink. I would actually want a "universe" for my room. Stars, constellations, all the planets and I want to glow in the dark. Emphasis would be on the constellation. But of course I can't have it because that will require dark colors, and I don't think my mom would approve it if I have to paint my wall black.

I'm positively sure she won't let me. Because it will be too dark. And mosquitoes love dark places. But I'm planning to put luminous stars. I know what you're pertaining to. I love those stars - glow in the dark stars.

Yes, that's exactly it. Just use that on your pink walls, I'm sure it will be beautiful too. Have a variety of sizes and shapes, that will really makes it look nice.

That is a very cool idea! It would be a spectacular sight to see. Maybe if you ask your mom's permission, she will let you?
My bedroom wall is cream yellow, and the previous occupants actually pasted luminous stars which are not visible by day but at night they look quite pretty. Maybe you can try something like that.
Thanks for your sharing...

Livng in an apartment for most of my life when we bought our house I wanted color on the walls even subtle colors were better than boring old white wash. I don't have anything fancy like you have pictured though I do have some stenciling left in my kitchen that needs to be painted over and redone. Other than that we have shelves, pictures, and various things on the wall displayed.

Having a different colour would already do wonders for the walls, I imagine having a wall with different tones of one colour painted would be quite nice. If you already have many cabinets or shelves, a decorated wall might look too cluttered. Having space is important too.

What a lovely transformation.
My walls are quite bare too except for a few family pictures which somehow personalize our home. The one in my room has a lot of schedules and timetables pasted next to the door where they wouldn't be seen when the door is opened. I need to be reminded so this helps.

Sounds like another coincidence, tomi, I was going to do the exact same thing myself -- paste schedules on the back of my front door. Seems like there are always lots to do and many dates to remember, it would be helpful to have a timetable and calender around.

My appointment dates to the doctors, dentists are all pasted there as well. Behind the door is just nice to keep the mess out of side but you know where to get them. I'm very bad with dates. Even if you don't they'll help you alot. Good coincidence bluemoon!

I learnt it from a friend. I'm quite disorganized sometimes so I find it very useful.

good for you! I don't like staring at empty walls either. It's so much better feeling and more beautiful on sight to have something to look at when you look at the wall. I have various posters of my favorite bands and singers up on my wall for awhile now and I like it that way for now!
though I was thinking a few times already about taking it all off and getting wallpapers of various landscapes, you know those huge ones. I find this really beautiful, like putting some egypt pyramids wallpapers on your wall, or some beautiful beach. I love this!
Also that picture you attached, that's nice looking room with some great painting skills and time put into it!

Your wall sounds spectacular.
It would also be nice to have a change of atmosphere sometimes, I used to have a huge poster of a mountain with a sunrise, unfortunately, I lost it while moving house.
Whoever decorated that wall had great thinking and put in a lot of effort, I appreciate it!

qianyun,
You have been misled!! That was NOT made by me, just a picture off the internet.
I have only put up some photos though I wish I could be this creative. There were some shops selling stickers like these where you can just stick them anywhere, you can compose your own masterpiece with some imagination.
