Is the new Mozilla 4 Beta faster than the old 3.6?

I am wondering does the new mozilla faster than the old ??? Some people comment on blog posts and articles that the Mozilla 4 is faster than the old.

Yes, it will be probably faster, but in case you visit pages with perfectly coded javas or other scripts. You will most likely dont notice any difference in speed on todays machines.
And I think the better option of GUI is here on 3,6
