The doctor have advised me to quit smoking because my stomach is going crazy with acid.. and along with that, I have to quit drinking coffee, eating spicy food.. OMG After like 10 years of smoking, and I have to quit, and I think the only way I can quit is to quit cold turkey, I don't think that decreasing my intake then finally quitting will work for me, I don't know.. All I know is that I need to quit as soon as possible or my stomach will develop an ulcer.. anyone have any ideas on how I can quit as soon as possible without any drugs? I read about Champix, and I don't like the side effects so I decided I don't want drugs to help me, but just tried and successful ways to quit smoking.. Help!!

I smoked for over 30 years and quit with the help of patches. They were prescription only at that time, but I think they're the same now. I had tried many times over and kept coming back to it. You have to decide that you are really ready and you can do it, with or without help, but until and unless you decide that it's time, it will be hard. Make the decision and stick with it. There is life on the other side! :) And you'll be so glad you did.

yes ,you should take the doctor's advice.... maybe you can distract yourself to some other food or snacks ,no better way ,and hold on it or not based on your control ability...no one can real help you ,when you have addict , distract to other things ,try it more times ,for your own health, you must hold on ,good luck ,my friend

indulge yourself into something else. For example, reading pocketbook, if you keep on reading you'll be too busy to even think about smoking. Eventually you'll get the hang of it then you don't need to use the pocketbook as an excuse to quit smoking because you're already done with it. Do anything that can divert your thoughts from smoking, anything good may do. God bless (",)

Thank you! I'll try that, I usually work and that's fine, but once I return home... yes, reading would be an option.. or just watching some movies to keep my mind off it, as long as the movies doesn't show anyone smoking. I think I should be fine.. LOL
