My dog was so sweet and loving to the family. My dog ran out in the street and my neighbor kit and killed her. I want so bad to get another dog for the boys. But,after we had to deal with this loss I could not. I found I had love to give but, would not want to replace the sweet dog we had lost. Just incase something happened to the next one as well. Would you be able to replace your lost dog?

Even the dog was lost, I think it cannot be replaced by anyone else. But I could accept a new one and it will remind me the lost one and let me take care of it more. I think to have a new one is to go on the missing for the dogs.

Once gone can never be replaced. Ive lost so many dogs in my life and it hurts every time. I spent days and days crying. I even wrote letters to them. The pain never went away. It's still here, right here in my heart. I can feel it even now. But I have to move on. The house would feel so empty without any dogs so I look for new ones. I love my dogs all equally. But like I said, once gone can never be replaced.

I have lost a few dogs in my life, the latest one was Zoe who we found had a disorder and we couldn't afford to keep her. But even though I know getting another dog won't replace Zoe, Ginger, or Dana, I still wanted another dog in my life. Sure I needed time to grieve, but once I was better I started wanting another dog so bad that now I have it double, 2 puppies..:) So give yourself some time and then look for a new pet for your home..:)

That is something really bad. Until you have gotten over the lost of your dog, I think you should not be getting one.

Dear Linda, but you won't replace your beloved lost dog with a new one! Every dog has a different personality, every dog is unique. A new dog won't be a replacement, she will be a new member of your family. Now you are aware of what could happen and you'll take care nothing bad happens to your new dog. I lost a dog last year and I brought home a new dog this spring. She doesn't replace my sweet old Nera, but I feel like she makes my life complete. Life is wonderful with dogs, and you shouldn't take away your children's joy to grow near a dog.

i have a dog already but i want to get a new one,a puppy and a different breed.me and my wife likes small dogs because they are very cute and they dont consume resources unlike big breeds.but we like dogs.what happened to your dog is very violent and your neighbor should be punished for what they did.
