Did you have one of those energy drinks?

Energy drinks promises you to be alert and awake but actually it gives you an initial spike and then you're fatigue. Some of my friends who tried them because they want to keep awake couldn't sleep for more than 3 days. They feel so tired, but couldn't close their eyes to sleep, so imagine that feeling. Energy drinks are loaded with caffeine which is very bad for health. So, next time you take a sip on that energy drink, think about your health.

yeah people who consume lots of caffeine just to stay awake is a naive thing to do. i've been guilty of that though. i think its best just to accept the limitations God gave someone when this happens and go to sleep. people will no doubt age faster just by consuming caffeine to stay awake if its a regular routine. i do realize people got to work though and this is the reason they use the excuse to drink caffeine and stay awake and on top of that many have kids to take care of so there's no simple answers for them to get to bed. for the rest of us though just hit the bed.

our physician mostly recommends us to drink energy drink, when we have fever. for energy drinks is the same with dextrose as what they explained us. so everytime some one in the house has fever we buy energy drink to go with the medicines to get back the energy lost. but during the okay days we dont drink energy drink we drink juices and tea.

Hi! Please be careful in energy drinks. Some energy drinks are confused to sports drinks which contains high caffeine. Oral Rehydration Solution or Oresol is best when one has fever and dehydrated. Some doctors do recommend Gatorade but it has to be taken when your stomach is full cause it sometimes up-sets the stomach. Have a good day!

yes true that Oral Rehydration Solution is the best but my child does not want to drink it. My brother sends me powder form of drink and we just put it in a liter of water just like ice tea har har har. it taste like buco juice and he drinks it. if there is nothing available we go for gatorade.

I would never use these energy drinks because I don't think they contain natural ingredients, and may even contain lots of sugar and/or caffeine. I got on to a sugar-free diet around 25 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did as refined sugar was really playing havoc with my nervous system and general health. I was totally addicted to all sugars and had to start reading food labels to make sure I was not taking any refined sugar at all. It was very hard because I was really craving for something sweet, but now I am quite happy knowing that I won't ever consume sugar again, unless in tiny amounts in its natural form in vegetables. Even fruit can cause a problem - as it does with the wasps and bees, making them bad tempered towards the end of the summer.

I drink them occasionally, but I don't drink them on a regular basis. I think that the reason that I drink them is typically to get a caffeine rush in the morning when I wake up because it is difficult for me to wake up in the morning. However, I don't think that it would ever be an intelligent idea to drink them on a regular basis because of the amount of caffeine and also sodium that is in them.

Depending on what type of energy you drink, it could be harmful..instead of caffeine I use potassium like Gatorade and herbal which is Ginseng. Ginseng is the best but it cost P350 or $7.50 for a small bottle. Caffeine loaded drinks have instant effects but they are really harmful cause it drains us after effects, and to add to that the harmful effects of caffeine.

That happens when you drink commercial energy drinks that contain caffeine. Instead of taking them, I suggest you get those natural ones. I know there are natural energy drinks you can find out there, that are made of natural ingredients and natural energy boosters. I have tried several of them, and they are good. No side-effects. Energy drinks with ingredients like Guarana (a natural alternative to caffeine), Maca Root, and Ginseng.
