I want it NOW and I don't want to sacrifice anything

Do you think nowadays people are impatient and are looking for instant gratification? I see a lot of that with my younger cousins, nieces and nephews. You tell them that they have to wait, they wait for two seconds and ask again and then whine like those two seconds were actually two hours or two days. But it's not only children. A know a woman my age said that she hates waiting. She will refuse to do anything if it will take more than 5 minutes. I know I'm impatient myself, but I try to reason if its worth my time to wait and sometimes it is. Especially if I have nothing else to do. Then there is also this sense of "I want whatever I want and I don't have to do anything to get it." There is no need to sacrifice to get what you want, or at least that's what I'm seeing. People want to change things without really changing anything. Am I the only one who sees these kind of trends in the new generation?

I think that today, with all the technology, people are starting to believe that it is possible to get what they want immediately, for free. Of course, children are easily influenced because they are naturally impatient. But adults are becoming more influenced because of the overwhelming technological advances. It's so much easier to do things today than years ago. There are many websites on the 'net that offer "fast and easy cash".

You make a good point. With technology making things so much easier and faster, people (children and adults)expect everything to be easier and faster.

Sometimes we get irritated and pissed off when we get to wait somebody for a long time. This is just a natural reaction for us especially we set a specific time to meet and we are made to wait. I also don't want to wait, that is why I try my best to be on time always.

I try to be on time as well because I don't like to wait and I don't want people waiting for me. I guess the ones I'm really talking about are the people who do nothing (ie they don't even attempt to be on time) but expect everything to go their way or to get whatever the want when they want it.
