There are so many schools here in my country offering sumer school program. It may be to make extra money for the teachers or to help parents who are very busy to keep there kids in a safe place. Is there any educational advantage for such programs?

Yes, because it keeps them busy, and on top of that it gets them ready for the next year, it keeps their brains active. You always want your children to be ahead of the game when it comes to the classroom. Say your child is having trouble with math and reading, and believe me, most children do, having go to summer school will help them get ready for all of the learning that they will have to do in the regular school year. Often times, in elementary school summer programs, they won't have any homework, it's not like how it is when the get into middle school, high school and college, but it is a great, stress-free way to get help them learn more. Another good thing is tutoring and reading programs. I went to summer school, tutoring programs, and Girl Scout Camp when I was a child, and it kept me busy. I was ready to tackle school the next year after I went to summer school.
