'things i love friday'

Hey guys,
I was surfing today the Internet and i noticed that many bloggers have these posts with the title 'things I love Friday'. And my question is - why? Is there some kind of blogging ritual? :D

I am guessing that this is because Friday is the last day of the week especially for working people. They might be looking forward to the weekend where they can rest and not think about work stuff. So maybe blogging is their outlet. Im just guessing :p
