Well I admire them in many ways as I am not an athlete....I used to be in alot of sports but due to being older I had to quit. I was very good at bowling etc...now nothing. I think they are just regular people who excell at something I am not any good at. I do not however like female weightlifters....I should say don't like but I won't even watch that.

I guess the ones who end up bulked up don't really mind, or they care more about their sport than how they look. Like female track stars. They are pretty muscled up. I think it was Flo Jo though who was always done up, really pretty. Makeup, manicured nails. One could tell she didn't think you had to give up the female side of yourself for the sport.
If I were going to be an athlete, I wouldn't be willing to get bulked up for it. So you wouldn't see me as a track star, boxer, or even a gymnast (although I'm way to tall for that anyway, and those girl's faced are definitely feminine - no argument). I would go for something like figure skating or volleyball. I noticed that the volleyball players are fit, but not manly looking. But to each their own I guess. Unless the female athlete is a body builder, they won't be getting any strange looks from me. And even then, I would try to keep my stares to a minimum. lol

I suppose it depends on which person you're talking about. You can't really talk about any group of people in general.
I'm back in moderation. Still have health problems.

Wish I could lift little weights. I have a horrible back. Last night I vacuumed our house. It's a big one. Today I can barely move. It will be Advils and rest or sleep the rest of the day. And I use to be so athletic. Age has a way of taking things away from the healthy body. Thanks again for responding.

Thanks for best response. After I get better from back injuries, they always have me do light weights, but I guess it dependes on the injury, the dr. and the physical therapists. Take care I can't do most over the counter pain killers. Make my blood pressure worse or my stomach, or my intestines bleed. They only ok me for tylenol and except for tylenol sleep, usesless. You're welcome

Well most of the female athletes are usually too masculine.
Although they represent the stronger side of a women.
They can be a source of inspiration for many females who think themselves very weak and sensitive type.
Thanks for this discussion.
Take care :)
