Do you know how to ride a bike?

I have plans on purchasing one. Maybe this year. My mom already agreed that she'll give 1/4 of the said price that I gave her. LOL. A BMX kind of bike though my mom wants a mountain bike kind. Are mountain bikes more better than the BMX types? I learned how to ride a bike when I was 6 or 7 years old. My first bike was red and if I remember it clearly, mongooes was the brand - I think. It has two little wheels on each side of the back wheel - more like an aid for balance. My nanny before taught and struggled to help me on how I can gain balance. She said took me three days to achieve my balance. :D When I learned how to ride, I was like everywhere - except on highways, I always bring it to school as my ride and usually, during dismissals - I'd bike around from streets to playgrounds to subdivisions until it gets dark. So many memories with my bike and had no regrets that I learned riding it in an early age. :D

i learned to bike when i was about 2 or 3 years old. it was a trike though. i remember my first bike, not the brand though. i was about maybe 4 or 5. it was pink with white basket in the front. at that time, my mom was working in the US at the time. when i wrote to her, i said i wanted a bike specifically a pink bike with a white basket. so when she found one that matched my exact description, she bought it even if she was months away from going home. these days whenever i see a pink bike with a white basket in the front, it always makes me smile. when my mom's with me, i would point her that bike and she would also remember my bike.

LOL this is a funny question for me.. I used to know how to ride a bike, back when I was still in 2nd grade.. but suddenly i forgot how to.. And now anything that has to do with balance, I suck on it.. it's kinda frustrating really.. I know how to ride it in a straight line but when i turn i can't balance.. LOL.. maybe there's something wrong with me.. hahaha..

LOL. I think it's possible that one can tend to forget a skill once you haven't practice in a long time. But during your free time, maybe you can rekindle yourself with your bike and start where you left off. :p

I was already 13 when I learned how to bike. We lived in the city and my mother was always a safety-freak so I never got to ride a bike until I was old enough. The guys who taught me were my neighbors and it was on Christmas eve when our street was blocked because we usually had our Christmas parties on the street. That way the entire road was mine without any car to threaten my safety. Wow, how pampered I was.

That's what I always appreciate during childhood days. Neighbors are always there waiting for you for "riding" activities.

Yes I know how to ride a bike. I learned when I was 10. I was so scared because I was afraid to fall or slam into something. I have knee scars to prove it. =) My dad and my cousins taught me. When I learned it, it was really fun. My cousins and I would ride around the village for hours. But I don't ride one anymore. I think the last time I rode a bike was when I was in college.

I suggest you BMX and I swear it will look cool Though BMX is a universally used term when it comes to BMX bicycles, it is important to know that BMX racing (or bicycle motocross) refers to racing on a dirt track. However, there are other types of BMX bikes used for different other forms of BMX racing. These are freestyle and jump bikes which are much heavier and sturdier than ordinary BMX bikes because of rigorous treatment they put through. A good quality BMX bike for a beginner costs approximately $200. If you are into BMX freestyle and dirt jumping then you need to pay special attention to the type of BMX bike you are purchasing. For BMX freestyle and dirt jumping, your bicycle should have a sturdy and heavy frame. If you compare an actual freestyle bicycle to a conventional BMX bicycle, you will realize that a freestyle bicycle is nearly two times heavier. While jump bicycles are lighter than freestyle bicycles but heavier than BMX bikes. If you are small in stature, you should not worry because there are many frame sizes to choose from. Usually BMX bicycles have a 20" wheel diameter. Jump BMX bikes in contrast have bigger wheel diameters. If you are tall and large then you should opt for a jump BMX bicycle with a 24-inch wheel diameter. Most jump bikes have 13-gauge spokes while freestyle bikes have a 48-gauge spokes. If you compare the tires of different types of bikes, there is a vast difference. Jump bikes are heavily treaded among all BMX bicycles. This is because jump bikes have to concentrate on traction rather than speed. While freestyle BMX bikes have smooth treads making it easier to use them on pavements or indoors. Freestyle BMX bikes also have axle pegs which are used for performing tricks. Now that you know the basics about BMX bikes for freestyle and dirt jumping, you can hop to the nearest store and purchase one for yourself.

Yes I do know how to ride a bike. I remember my friend teaching me how when I was 5 and I've been riding ever since. For my everyday biking I use a mountain bike.. That's the only kind of bike I've ever had. If you're going to be going up and down hills and such they're good. I know a lot of guys with BMX bikes though. As far as I know they're mainly for doing tricks.

Yeah. I think mountain bikes are the safe ones to have than BMX. BMX on the other hand are a lot cheaper (on where I went at)than mountain bikes. But I think MB is a good buy. I just have to save more though. :D It's a good feeling, right? When you bike. It's like an exercise already. :D

I know how to ride a bike. I tried it way back when I was 3 years old. Our bike has three wheels, then. Biking is a good exercise and it brings you to short distant places that needs no gasoline consumed - it's environment friendly. Hmmm when I started to ride on a two-wheeled bike, it took me some scratches before making the balance. It then motivate me not to have scratches again. :)

And more scratches. LOL. Biking is really fun and yes you are right, it's a form of exercise. :D

Yes, I know how to ride a bike. My friends taught me when I was a kid When I was young, there were two styles - for male and for female. For male, we could ride on it only when we are in trousers. We could get on bike from 3 ways, I learnt all of them. Haha... Even if I seldom ride my bike these days, I keep one, too. I will ride it on sunny days. It's great!

Yes! My dad taught me when I am still a kid. I just don't exactly remember what age. But as I grow up, whenever I go to my cousins every summer, I always ride their bikes. They have a BMX, so I could really reach it. Mountain bikes are too high for me. I think it will be ok to purchase a BMX, if you'll just use it daily and not for a marathon or biking on mountains. But if you'll use it for the latter, I suggest that you purchase a mountain bike.

Mountain bike Sadly, I have never learned how to ride a bike. Never had one, although I bugged my parents to buy me one when I was still a kid. I honestly tried to learn how to balance, whenever I was able to borrow from our neighbor. Bicycles just aren't for me, I guess. I have learned how to roller skate, ice skate, even how to ride skate boards and roller blades -- but, oh no, no bicycle.

Sounds like you could go for just a normal mountain bike. I personally would recommend getting a road bike. These can be pricey but they are well worth it. They are great for workouts and speed. I would also advise in purchasing a new seat instead of using the stock seat. Trust me you won't be able to feel your bum for a day because it will be so sore. I love biking and do it alot. Cheers.

it is a pity that i have never ride a bike because my mother don't want to i learn how to ride bike because of too many cars near my house.
