We have the same broad band, highest connection. In the last couple of months I have noticed the speed of our connection getting slower. We used to have an unsecured connection but about two months ago we secured it. Have you noticed it slowing? Any idea why?

I think you should try to see if there is any virus in the computer.

Hmmm...if you were previously using an unsecured connection, you may have picked up a virus that's slowing down your internet. Viruses can even be picked up when using a secure connection. My advice would be to run an anti-virus program just to be safe. A good one that I believe you can get a free trial of online is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. This program will go through your computer to check for any bad files/viruses/etc, and quarrantine any it finds. From there, you can delete the objects in quarrantine to protect your computer. Another idea is to clear up a little space using Disk Cleanup to delete unnecessary temporary files and the like. One more way to possibly speed up your connection is to use disk defragmenter.

I use malwarebytes, I run it atleast once a week more if I hit alot of different sites. We have cleaned everything out and all of the computers in the house have had this slow down. But thank you for the suggestion!

It is really an annoying thing for us to meet a slow speed of the Internet connection. Quality internet connection can help us work effectively. On the contrary, if the speed of our connection is getting slower gradually, it is obvious that such a bad situation will decrease our working effciency. For a long run, it will make us lose inserest in working on the Internet. If you find that your internet connection is really getting slower, perhaps the best solution to this situation is to switch to another quality service.

try to change your SSID name and use WPA2 for securing your wireless network. Then download some network monitoring software to see how many are connected to your network.

Here I do not have very fast internet. I hope the speed of the internet goes up so that I can have more browsing speed. The problem with high internet connection is that they cost a lot. I think may be one of the reason is the problem with the wires or the problem with the provider. I would suggest you to talk to the providers to know more about the internet connection speed.
