Most of brands in China are cheap copies from foreign famous brands. There is no denying that China is the biggest country of manufacturing. One of the advantages is cheap labour force and One disadvantage is bad capacity of scientific research. So there are so many cheap copies of famous brands.

What I want to say is that most of foreigners have prejudice against Chinese products. Goods which costs $1 was compared with the ones which cost $100, it is not fair itself. Dont complain the poor quality of Chinese products. Because you just spent $1 on it. We also have our own famous brands which have perfect quality and price-performance ratio even better than the world-famous brands. Dont claim to know what you don't know, after all, everything is changing.

I don't know any famous brand from China itself but I know that almost all brand of cellphones has a china phone equivalent. I used China phone branded as Nokia it has some defect and some features are still in Chinese. The games are in Chinese and has no save option and has loud background music. My impression of China products are cheap, can easily broke, not of quality control standard and mass produce just to reach consumers.

That may be true. Well over the years Chinese products may improved but with the cheap raw materials and mass production China products will still continue to be of low standard. Remember businessmen are running the corporations they are striving for more profit. But I know that companies from around thee world are also demanding high quality standard. So, sooner or later China products will be better.

I know of no world famous brands from China. I've used products made in China, but I try and avoid doing so as much as possible, mostly because of the poor quality. I also don't "trust" what's in some products. Until China plays by the same rules as other manufacturing nations, worker wages, environmental protection, etc., I will probably continue to have a low opinion of "made in China". Sorry for the bad feedback, Sirzhang.

I would like to visit China, but the chances aren't good I'll get there. The cost is probably the biggest driver. But then you never know... Have a great day.

Thank you for sharing your real thoughs. Made-in-China is becoming better and better these years. We have made much progress comparing with what it was before. If you would come to China for a visit, you will say "wowo, so amazing". That's the word I heard frequently when foreign friends arrived China.

In present time there is a huge availability of Chinese products in my country. I am from India. And here peoples like Chinese products. Because china gives their products in many less rates. So the peoples like them. And in present time peoples like their phones. Yes now china makes many new cell phones and iphones with every facility like Nokia cell phones. And it is available in very wide range. A Chinese cell phone with every facility like mms, camera, Bluetooth, net connectivity and many more facility are available only in 1500-2000 rupees. So peoples like them.

Most of the things now are actually made in China...even those branded ones that we have are made in China. I couldn't believe it myself when I saw that my Apple Ipod is assembled in China...I really thought it's made in US since it's Apple. Anyways, in terms of other stuff, I don't think the quality is good. There are only very few items that are durable enough to be used for a long time and many other stuff are just not worth a penny even though it's cheap. Though affordable, still, it should also be of good quality also. Anyhow, happy Mylotting!

Even as a chinese, I don't have good impression on made-in-china. you can visit http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2727643.aspx?p=4#1_16407854 there are many posts at myLot like the one above that try to criticize goods made in china and warn people not to buy chinese products. This is a signal that alerts us to improve our products.
