It was a very unfair rule in cricket which took away a fantastic 100 from Viru. Actually it should have been 105*. But, as the last ball was no ball he was denied the six that he hit on the no ball. if in a match one teams need 1 runs to win and the batsmen hits a six or four, its counted in his score also. but when its hit on a no ball why is it not counted? what is the real difference in this case? Anyway the innings from Sehwag was Superb.

Admitted that the rule is unfair...but its a uniersal rule and somebody or some committee must have thought over it and then the law was made...It is a rule that if a run is scored other than by way of bat, then the run so scored (by fault of the bowling side) is counted ahead of the runs scored by the bat...that is what exactly has happened...I twould have added to Sehwags tally...but what a bizzare of getting stranded on 99* that i have known so far... It was good for India and happy for Sehwag.

ok. If they are adding one ball to sehwag's ball faced, then they should give the run. he will lose his strike rate by doing this unfair things . it should be 105* from 100 balls. But everyone is saying that the run is scored other than by way of bat will count first. then it should be 99* from 99 balls, but here its 99* from 100 balls

What is going on? The rule should be changed and Senwag should be given this century . ICC should look into this matter and change this foolish rule as soon as possible. The ball is counted and run is not given,is viru a fool? He should file complaint to ICC to give him his century.

yes even i feel the same. the stats are strange. the balls faced column for shewag consist of the last ball. but the runs are not counted. now where is the logic in this. i mean if he faced the ball then its a legal ball and so the runs which are scored from it should be considered. and if the ball is not legal and the match was won even before shewag played the ball, then how come you are counting that. it should not be counted... indeed, common sense is not that common u know :P

OOps. What is this . I have not noticed that the ball is counted . Now its very very very very unfair . Actually the six should have been give. Everybody saying that when the bowler is crossed the line the match ended there. Then Why the ball is counted? If ball is counted the batsmen should be given chance to play it! so now viru has become a clown, he lost his strike rate, century and one extra ball is counted,What is going on! I think ICC should look into this matter and change the rule. and give sewag the century.

Bad luck for schewag. he has to compromise with the present rules. But I hope these kinds of incidents will force the cricket to change its rules

Hello RAMA, The SRILANKAN tried to deny the century of SHEWAG by bowling a no ball.Even though SHEWAG hit six on that ball the required run for the team was only one.So already no ball has been bowled and the team gets one run. Therefore, the team has reached its target. The six hit by SHEWAG was not counted as the team already got the one run. These are some of the fair rules by ICC.This rule was intelligently used by the SRILANKAN team. They lack the spirit of cricket.Shewag is a cool guy.He is not tensed about missing his century. He is a man of great humbleness.Hope he would score more runs in the upcoming matches.
