Mass resignation of WOWOWEE/Pilipinas Win na Win staff

It says a total of 27 staff. 10 dancers and the rest are the people backstage. I just watched Juicy and there was an excerpt of Willie who was interviewed by Cristy Fermin. She asked Willie if there was really a mass resignation of some of the staff. And Willie answered that those staff had asked for a meeting with him and the staff told him that they would go wherever he would go. And he gladly took them - telling that their choice won't be a regret because even though Willie has no plans yet but he said he'll be back in TV to be with his fans by September. I wonder what channel but I have a feeling that it's gonna be TV5. After the segment was aired - Cristy confirmed that Willie and the 27 staff who resigned are in Boracay right now. All expense paid courtesy of Willie himself. It was even said that even though his "comeback" hasn't started yet, the staff who resigned are already earning their said plus an additional 20%. WOW, Willie. You're so rich! LOL. I hope to be one of your staffs too. What's your say about this guys? Did you really think they resigned voluntarily or was it by chance Willie made an offer they can't refuse. I don't wanna be bias though. But I hope the staff did resigned. And I do believe Willie is generous. I just hope that when he's being "generous", there's no exchange for that kindness.

I haven't watched TV shows for a few days and this is the first time that I heard such predicament. First and foremost, even though Willie has been good, kind and generous to the masses; the way I see it, he has become big-headed as well as arrogant. Yeah he is filthy rich and I'd be glad if I were a part of his staff in that Boracay trip because who doesn't wanna travel for free right? Ever since he left Wowowee, the shows replacements doesn't make me laugh as much as he did. Willie just touched a lot of people, I mean a lot. It may also look like he is bribing those staffs who resigned by treating them with an all expense paid Boracay trips, but I may be wrong. If he is that generous as a lot of people say, then GO Willie. Keep being generous and less arrogant.

Yes. There's no one that could compare Willie inspite of his arrogance. But that's showbusiness. We are only viewers though and no matter how much we hate Willie sometimes, controversies follows him around and us, the audience, is sometimes on the watch on what he's gonna do next. :D

If i can recall, he's known assets and liabilities has went close to one billion pesos or more than that. so treating 27 people is nothing for him. of course, i didn't think he would have loyal staff. am sure that Win n win wouldn't last because it won't compete the same with Wowowee.

Well, I have never liked Willie but I hope he could continue his career and his problem get solved so that his staff will also have job. Willie is moneyed still but without a job certainly his money will soon get drained. Even if I never liked Willie of course I would not wish anyone to be financially troubled so I hope he could soon make a come back so that his whole staff will also earn accordingly.

True. Money is not really everything. I just hope that he won't toy the people who joined him just like how he treats his contestants.

I really am not into this whole Wowowee Hulabaloo but I wish those who resigned knew what they were doing, and ready for whatever is the aftermath or consequences of their actions. I also hope Willie will not disappoint these people who offered their loyalty for him. If these people were not coerced into resigning, and that they did it on their own freewill, there must be something really good about Willie that was worth fighting and quitting their jobs for.

I don't hate him. I'm just not so crazy about Wowowee especially the format of the show. I liked MTB and Willie was there, remember? They phased it out and replaced it with Wowowee which was like dominated by just one host. I didn't like that. Now they're moving to TV5 and as what I've heard, they're going to use the same format. If Wowowee didn't come off spectacular to me on ABS, I doubt if I ever would on TV5, not to demean the station but let's face it, it's not very popular. Unless someone does something to widen the coverage of that network to be able to compete with the two giant networks, maybe I'd shift?

Is he really that rich? He probably has a financier that's why he had the guts to act like this, turning away from the TV network who gave him the chance to be known by the public. I'm sorry guys I am not really a Willie fan. One of the responses here said that he has plans of purchasing IBC 13. I hope he thinks it over. It's no joke to run a network. I hope it's not just impulse. You know what, my best suggestion for him is to purchase an airtime in one of the networks. I'm sure he'll gain big money because he has a lot of endorsements anyway.

LOL. He has Manny Villar and Manny Pacquiao as friends so... that explains the other side of his arrogance perhaps? :D That's okay. A lot of lotters here aren't fans of Willie. So rest assured. :D

I don't like willie, and this post is written with pure bias coursing through my veins. He's such a big head. I don't know why ABS CBN kept on giving hi shows. Before wowowee, people didn't like Willie a single bit, but they just kept on giving him shows, until they chanced upon WoWoWee. Whoever star they put in that show will be famous. People, especially the poor would still lap up the show when the show is giving you money, and the only thing you have to do is line up, make yourself look stupid and make yourself look pityful. I never really liked the show, I'd rather be poor than make a fool out of myself.

Same here. I never really liked Willie. Not wanting to put people down though, I hope he stops all these arrogance and boastfulness. As for his "loyal" staff, I pity them. Their loyalty is definitely misplaced especially if the news were true about receiving salaries even if they haven't started working yet. As I see it, Willie is just "literally buying" their loyalty.

hello there, i haven't been watching TV that much. so, i didn't know this, just would like to asked, where did you watch this and what channel? i hope it's going to be Tv5 because it's a rising star. i only sometimes watch the shows. as for me, i think it's another time for willie to make another big break. but i have doubts about him and IBC13 because simply it's not going to be easy...

I saw the news clip last Sunday in TV5. Willie promised that before the year ends, he will have a show. Okay, so I don't like this guy much. Even in that interview, he came off as a braggart. He was complaining that he was being given shows that were second-rate. It was a temper tantrum of sorts. I really hope that no network will take the risk with him. I don't find it funny when he pokes fun at the contestants even if he gives a lot of money away. It strips these people their dignity but I can't fault them for joining because they really need the money.

He really have this knack of humiliating his contestant - even his staff. His ego is always on the top that's why Eat Bulaga will never stop making "patama" at him.

We love Willie and I love Willie. However, as I watched the controversial issue of this show, Willie seems getting much attention during the election dates. Due to that a lot of people think he became boastful. Regarding with the employees who went to his side, I think that is a wise decision. Willie is rich and I think they are given much compensation.

I find it hard to believe that people will actually risk their livelihood with Willie. But that appears to be happening. I just have this feeling that for a staff of 27 people to resign en masse, there's got to be more than just loyalty at work there.

That's what I sense too because he's a little defensive during the interview that he didn't "buy" the 27 in total of staffs that resigned.

just what I've been speculating. Willie is a rich man he could start his own network or buy other network. He will have more money if he have his own network. Plus the fact that he has a strong public relationship, bridging the poor and the rich.I think he would do well.
