Some of the recently picked acorn squash from my garden. I've eaten a few myself already and they are great. I gave this picking to my wife for her restaraunts buffet. That's where most my veggies go this year as they started a buffet there. The customers really loved the cukes and cherry tomatoes. They are alwyas asking her to bring more of the yellow pear tomatoes in. Do you donate any of your garden goodies? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I made about 20 pints of rasberry jam and about 15 pints and 5 quarts of strawberry jam from my garden this year. The acorn is more stringy of a squash and harder too. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

hi grandpa bob oh acorn squash my favorite baked with a little brown sugar and margarine. so good. we always grew so many veggies we could sell some to the townspeople too. squash, sweet corn and tomatoes were the biggest sellers then zucchini came next. in the fall we sold a lot of our apples too. of course my mom canned a lot of everything so we had good eating in the winter time.

I don't have a garden...but one of the gals at work gives all of us enough...she said the cukes have went crazy this year. I might actually try to make refridge pickles once!

I think it is cool that your wifes work is using some of your fresh homegrown veggies in the buffet. I don't have a garden this year, but I really want to plant one next year.

I don't donate exactly. I give surplus to my neighbors, friends, & co-workers who could use the items. I would love to make home made salsa w/ my excess tomatos but I don't have any freezer containers or spare cash for the ingredients right now. :0(
