Do you ever come across old assignments and cringe?

The other day, I was going through some things and I found that I had an old assignment from either my Freshman or Sophomore year of High School. I thought I would skim through it and it really did underline exactly how much my writing improved over the years. It was really, I don't want to say bad, but it made me cringe in places. Did you ever look at your old writing assignments and just shake your head at the quality of what you wrote?

I know what you're talking about. I'm somewhat of a pack rat when it comes to old homeworks and such so I even have writing assignments from when I was in middle school. Usually when I accidently dig them up I'm kind of appalled and incredulous about my writing. It wasn't that the grammar was bad or anything, it was the stuff I was writing about. Makes me wonder what kind of thought process I was going through at the time to produce some of those works. Most of the time I get a good laugh about some of my assignments but other times it's just too embarrassing that I have to get rid of the evidence.

Yeah, at the time, I do wonder what my thought process is as well. Then again, it was a different time and it was a different set of circumstances these days. I doubt I would write anything like that now. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
