Hi, Here in Quebec, Canada, its almost the back to school period and I can't wait to go back. I had a great summer, but I love being in school and learn. Currently, I am a university student and universities in Quebec starts around August, 30th. Other levels such as High schools, elementary schools or colleges starts August, 23rd. In my first year in university, 2009-2010, I was in a bachelor's program in Geography. However, I have decided to change program for this upcoming year, 2010-2011, so I am doing a part-time certificate program in Communications-writing with lots of french coarse. Next year in 2011, for the fall semester in 2011, I will apply to a new program and a new university, in Quebec city to become a professional translator between French and English. I enjoy writing, listening, talking and understanding these two languages. I am fluent in English and French, since I am french Canadian. So, a bachelor's in Translation, is the perfect program for me. I have spent a couple of months of rethinking my career path. This change will be the last re-orientation, because, it will be the time to finally finish my studies, then have a great career. I don't want to spend too much time of changing programs. Today's society requires a diploma from a program at a University or College to earn money and have a great job. I think it is worth to change at least once during university. So, you guys out here in mylot, what do you think about school, trying programs and/or changing programs ? Thanks, Bye.

i've been in school since june~! lolXD really, the first term starts in june where i come from. haha it's my 4th year in the university now. and i guess i'm ok with what i'm studying. my major's economics. when i was in high school, i never thought i'd get into this course. never thought of it actually. but i'm studying it now, and my relationship with it is going strong. though sometimes i think the feeling's one-sided. haha;) it's a bit difficult. but then, i realize studying is the difficult part and not the course itself. *sigh* good for you, you know what you want. when i was younger, i said i wanted to be a teacher. my friends and teacher from primary school said i should be a lawyer. but now, i'm just me. i guess i'm just glad that i'm happy with whatever i'm learning.^_^

Hi, That is great, you choose what you want and like to do. It's not the people that chooses your career path, it is only yourself that decides what to do for a living. Life is short, so I guess it is important to jump into something that you are interesting in, regardless of what people may think. I wish you good luck with your program. And starting school in June, well I haven't heard of that. Is it a summer semester at your university? In Quebec and in Canada, Universities have summer coarse from mid-May to mid-August.

I am looking forward to going back to college too. School doesn't start until the end of September though. Right now I'm pursuing a degree in humanities. I think that's best for me because I'm not too interested in math or science. Last year, I really liked my classes but I still have a few years before I would graduate so if I ever want to change, I would let myself. Happy mylotting.
